Esports Heaven, the popular gaming tournament website, has announced some changes to their website, including a "host-your-own-tournament" module.
Esports Heaven was launched over a year ago and has seen many improvements both small and big. Having given out thousands of €'s to Call of Duty 4, the tournament website has also become a hib for frequent Call of Duty 4 tournaments. But the site was slowing down development wise, even after a recent surge of new tournaments across many games. That is why the Esports Heaven development team have now launched a major update to the site. The update includes large coding changes, small layout/design improvements and a major overhaul of the admin and tournament system.
And the biggest change might even be that you can now host and admin your own tournament as and when you please. You can custom create a tournament completely to your liking and chose between leagues, single or double elimination. You can select the game, timings, maps, seeding system and much, much more.
Here is the full list of changes:
- Admin Interface Revamp
- User Generated Cups!
- Greater control of sub-admins
- General Interface Upgrades
- Top 3 of newly run tournaments now have cups displayed on their player and team profile after finishing top 3 in a tournament.
- Fancy Text Editor for the news, forums and commenting system
- Upgrade on Page browser
- Tournament Brackets view slightly improved, rounded boxes and full screen
- Check in System for tournaments to improve the amount of no-shows and reduce them
- Player ID reorganisation
- You can game filter matches
- And much, much more
How to organise your own tournament (taken from the ESH site) Organising and adminning your own tournament has never been so easy to setup and do. Simply click on the "
Host A Cup" tab in the main menu bar (on the top of the site) and you will be taken to an easy to fill out form where you can define the parameters of the tournament you would like to run. You can select between single and double elimination, group stages, various games, maps, timings, seeding systems and much more.
Then wait a bit for your tournament to be accepted by an admin and you are good to go!
So head on down to Esports Heaven to check out the changes (and the ongoing/upcoming tournaments which should include plenty of COD4 action)
