With the DreamHack 2011 Summer event coming closer & closer, the TDM community is preparing for the first and hopefully not last major TDM LAN in Quake Live's history to take place. Esports Heaven felt they could help keep the community active by hosting a TDM Cup from the end of June onwards with a prize purse.
The last big 4v4 TDM Cup to play out on Esports Heaven had been the Full Tilt Poker Challenge, of which the impact lead to this smaller, but perhaps more intense, Quake Live TDM 4v4 Cup happening through a partnership between Esports Heaven and Alienware. In total, 32 teams will be granted access and they will fight through a Bo3 Single Elimination system to find the eventual winner.
That winner will then receive £250 for its entire team and with the Cup going live right after the DreamHack Summer 2011 event, on Sunday 26th June, 2011 we should find out who will be the winner some two weeks after, as two rounds will be played on each consecutive Sunday.
All teams who are intersted in competing can still sign up through Esports Heaven until June 22nd and all you need to do is create an account on the Esports Heaven website with your correct Game ID/GUID (your Quake Live username) filled in and join a team to then sign up to the Cup.
