Whilst heading into the SAGE event as one of the potential dark horses, the Epsilon-eSports team had a fairly okay, but not amazingly wonderous tournament in Enschede, The Netherlands. It seems some of the surface problems have become larger in the weeks following the Adroits-run event, as the players are all heading into different directions.
The BeNeBri boys of Epsilon-eSports had entered the SAGE event all confident and possibly expecting a TOP 4, if they played their cards right. However, they got shook up right from the start when they suffered a surprising loss against Next Evolution on mp_citystreets and similarly, could not convince entirely versus eSuba in the first Playoff round either. This meant the team was out in TOP 8 and some of the problems that were visible at the event already, would end up playing a bigger and bigger role in the days and weeks after.
It all started with Myles "
myzz" Cahill who chose to leave the team quite soonish, as he was convinced he no longer had the time and energy to keep playing on the intensive level Call of Duty 4 has become. This left the team with only four and they started looking for a fifth to prepare for the community-run Adroits CoD Masters in a couple weeks.
Although initial tests with players such as Belgian Florian "
pleymoe" Castelli - B looked to be promising, when Dimitry "
delroo" Decan explained he no longer wanted to keep on playing, the team just collapsed and started detagging in the public channels. The first reaction was to let everything lie for a couple of days and then try again, but the situation hasn't changed since and it can be safely assumed that the current Epsilon-eSports team is as good as dead and will not be competing as a team anymore.

One of the longest-standing members of the Epsilon-eSports team, Sanjay "caesiuM" Gambhir, gave out the following statement to TEK9:
" After SAGE we had a couple of weeks break as I was on holiday in Spain, upon my return the team decided to mutually part ways with Myles due to the fact we felt he wasnt fully commited in the past months. We played with some possible replacements but we weren't 100% comfortable with anybody, then Dimi told us hes having surgery and didn't want to continue with a team that wasn't complete and would have to start from scratch in terms of tactics and such. So yeah, out of the blue the team was seperated. It was fun while it lasted but I think some people let the team down, but anyhow, gl to them =]."
