It’s been a long couple of days my Tek-9ers, a brutal schedule that has seen everyone involved feeling decidedly groggy and ill. There is no drinking tonight… Instead of saying farewell to my friends in a nightclub or a red light district, as is the custom, we said out farewells in a bowling alley with little on our minds but sleep.
There’s no need to summarise the event. It’s all there in black and white and while today stuck to a schedule there were still plenty of pros and cons that we could all discuss. I have little time to join you in that as tomorrow I begin 1.6 coverage, then after that CS:S and then after that… Well, who knows? It was only a few weeks ago that I was dressed as a hostage, a hessian sack over my head, being rescued by the winners of a Medal of Honor competition. Life is strange these days.

Anyway, before I skulk off back to my native Cadred it seems only pertinent to let you know that the coverage isn’t over. We did record some video content, which will be with you shortly and we do have some more pictures coming. Upload speeds permitting they will be with you in the small hours. I will curled up, asleep under this desk, waiting for the tell-tale beep before posting it.
Coverage doesn’t end, of course, until the customary Good LAN / Bad LAN wrap up… It may be new to Tek-9 but check one out on Cadred.org if you’ve not seen one before. It’s an excuse to belittle people who thought you liked them, while also praising those who earned it by buying my drinks. It’s e-sports journalism at its most ugly and I’m proud to be it’s father.
I can’t promise it soon but it will be with you shortly. I hope you enjoyed this coverage and it’s been a pleasure chronicling this event for an appreciative audience. Sure, the novelty may wear off in future but it’s enough for now to get me through another five days of LAN coverage. Until our paths cross again I will leave you with the words of Vincent Van Gogh:
"I put my heart and soul into my work and lost my mind in the process"
I know many players heading to their respective hotels right now that can identify with that.
I think I speak on behalf of everyone in the CoD community saying that we love having you cover our events and hope to see you at some more in the future.
gl with the rest of the event.
Well done
but regardless, good work.
and I wasn't vomiting, I was getting some fresh air because I was so fresh.
pleasure to meet you again Gonzo, might swing by during the week for a cold one.
only 2 points i'd suggest for future, on some of the match reports I didn't even see the map they played on mentioned, and perhaps a small bit at the top or the bottom with the 2 teams, the lineups and the scores, so anyone wanting to just have a quick browse can see the score and the map right away
But im just nitpicking, you did an awesome job, well done

I hope everyone enjoyed the event, it was so hard trying to organize everything after I was brought in as admin. But I think it turned out great and the players seemed happy about it.
I might admin some more in the future :)
