One of the most cherished and beloved Quake Live events has lifted up the secrecy surrounding DreamHack Summer 2011 and thus excited a bunch of Quake Live fans who will not only see Duel but also Team DeathMatch at Jönköping, Sweden later this Summer.
Unfortunately the event is planned to take place from Saturday, June 18th until Tuesday, June 21st and might disrupt the plans of some hopeful attendees, as this is the usual and dreaded exam period for most students in Europe. These players will have to hope that they can still attend and participate.
The excitement is particularly big for this event, as it will not only feature the thrilling Duel tournament we have grown accustom to; but will be the first event worldwide to organize a Team DeathMatch tournament for Quake Live, featuring some of the best teams in the world.
As it is planned right now, pending the amounst of interested teams and players, the Duel tournament will be scheduled to occupy the entire Saturday and should see a winner appear around 20h00 CET. Right after, the admins are hoping to start the Team DeathMatch tournament until the same time on Sunday, where they hope to find a winner as well. The reason for this schedule is to avoid players from having clashing matches, should they enter both the Duel as well as the Team DeathMatch tournament.
Alexei "
Cypher" Yanushevsky is the only player who already knows he has been granted a slot, as he is the winner of the DreamHack Winter 2010 event. Bar him, another elevent spots will be given to the best players in the world and the four remaining slots will be awarded to the winners of various DreamHack Summer '11 Qualifiers, who will be announced later in the year.

Registration: Players / Teams have to register at http://www.playdh.com/ first and then pay the 450 SEK entree fee and if you are TDM, pm one of the admins and if you are Duel, hope you get a slot.
