In what is without a doubt the biggest online competition throughout 2011 both Kaos TV and Memia TV have secured the limited premium coverage slots for the event. This means that both companies will be given priority access to stream the up-coming onslaught that is the Corsair Vengeance Cup.
The Corsair Vengeance Cup is without a doubt heating up to be the biggest competition of 2011 for the Call of Duty 4 community, seeing both teams and coverage outlets fight it out for the limited slots that are available. With the team list currently standing at an impressive one hundred and eighty eight out of a possible two hundred and fifty six slots it's quite reasonable to suggest that only days remain until the cup reaches its max capacity promising a competition that will not be quickly forgotten.
Alongside this information a whole bundle of coverage outlets have been battling it out for priority access to the event, with only a limited few gaining the prestigious premium coverage slots. I am happy to announce that today the live streaming coverage priority, alongside VoD's of the event, will be allocated to none other than Kaos TV and Memia TV both of whom have proven over recent their outstanding capability. They will both be on hand throughout the tournament bringing you the best coverage possible, highlighting ever moment in brilliant high definition.
Bas Bruinekool, of Kaos Industries, gave the following statement exclusively to TEK9 outlining their plans for the event:
"Kaos TV is happy to announce that we have received one of the few premium coverage slot's for the recently announced Corsair Vengeance cup.Stay tuned for more exciting information about the up-coming Corsair Vengeance Cup, here at TEK9 Networks. The premium coverage slot will give Kaos TV the chance to get first pick on games being played. In addition to providing ingame commentary from our studio with resident hoster Matt "A_Spec" Hoving who will be joined by a small army of expert co-hosts. The co-hosts joining us for the Corsair shows will be:
- Ennze
- More to be added soon
We currently have a few outstanding requests with more community hosts.
We will update the list in the comments accordingly.
Aside from doing in-game commentary with some of the communities bests hosts and experts, Kaos TV will be introduce some new and unique shows to the COD4 community together with the Corsair Vengeance Cup
A weekly show with an analytical nature, discussing this weeks matches, coming weeks matches and frag or player highlights. Allowing you, the viewer, to have a say in the topics we discuss, be sure to check the Corsair Vengeance Cup and Tek-9 forums as we will be asking YOU for topics of discussion. We will also invite teams within close enough proximity to our Studio in The Netherlands to join us in the show.
Every week we will produce a top 10 frag highlight reel. Should there be plenty highlights we might increase the amount of weekly top10's. Again we will ask the community what highlights they want to see.
Kaos TV will be announcing the match commentaries on a frequent basis via all social media and all major cod4 forums."

There are about two casting shacks around. Mennace and A_Spec keep their level steady. Not a good position.
RageTV had fun commentating a porn clip on their stream once. Mature casting is absent everywhere.
The technical presentation lacks the most basic fidelity. The video quality is okay at best and actual HD material is nonexistent. The lack of eye-candy configs is common.
News posts and statements are almost always semi-literate.
Good luck being taken seriously by people handing out leftovers.

Be happy with what you got, al though I understand it can better, but everything can get better.
No need to be so negative,

I'd honestly like you to back these statements up.
"Mennace and A_Spec keep their level steady. Not a good position."
What position are you talking about?
RageTV doesn't exist anymore.
"The technical presentation lacks the most basic fidelity"
Twitch.TV going down is not my fault and completely out my control.
"The lack of eye-candy configs is common."
Ever tried to watch a "eye-candy" config in 480p/360p? Half the viewers won't see anything.
"actual HD material is nonexistent"
Pixels per inch match HD requirements. It is HD, fact.
GL mate
Instead of going into flaming mode, some additional feedback.
I saw the latest output of Mennace going at it, z1n0. It was what he always does.
A position, a level, a standard, Mennace. There is room for improvement. Tough love, if not.
The presentation of varying sound levels, always something clipping, always your voice audio, Mennace. It did not happen when you were on stage at i43 a couple of weeks ago. There probably was a sound engineer present. Correct sound levels are important. Not only to actually understand everyone commentating and the game audio at once, but not to torture the listeners with distorted overall audio, leading to fatigue and lack of concentration beside being unpleasant and annoying.
Varying configs do not keep the look of the video consistent. Eye-candy configs will maintain their look in the engine and in heavily compressed videos. Visibility is dependent on resolution indeed. The seeming need to put an ugly gaming config in the streaming machine will only lead to people used to eye-candy graphics and not that interested in or overwhelmed by the competitive aspects to depreciate the look of the game. Superficiality is a common quality. Models are not paid for their character. Every time a new console generation is launched, graphical fidelity is an important factor for marketers to sell hardware units. Seldom something from the console world is ported and with it the eye-candy argument; at least on current hardware. Battlefield 3 will look good on fast GPUs. It will sell well.
The difference in resolution between 720p and 1080p is about half the amount of pixels. That it is a standard does not mean anything or change this. 1080p screens either are the standard already or will be soon, without them being costly anymore. That there is more to video quality than resolution is something you understood, Mennace, as you like - or liked, looking at the latest Memia TV casts - to stream with high bitrates. It does not come close to what is available on Blu-Ray Discs though, leaving room for improvement.
Once more I am typing stuff up which will be ignored. It does not change the overall dilletant air of casting though. Instead of all the "be grateful" nonsense, it might be an option to acknowledge that there could be room for improvement in the caster job of the sound engineer, video engineer, compressionist and commentator. Have fun.

- There is ALWAYS room for improvement
- Audio quality is always a point of well some interest in a lot of non-studio casting environments. We had to invest heavily to prevent A_Spec from clipping coz he's a well noisy bastard :P. Which means you end up needing a big ass mixer or two, a compressor limiter and a headphone amp. Not something most homely casters want to buy or afford. But even so your point is correct I just wanted to elaborate :)
The point I don't agree on:
- Blu ray. The fact that quality of streaming isn't at a blu ray level yet is because globally not everyone's internet is up for 720, 1080 let alone anything higher bitrite wise. The amount of problems some people have during ours treams because their internet, while being 20mbit, can't provide the amount of uptime/buffering for a 1080 stream is sometimes mindblowing.
But I then again I wonder if you've recently watched our casts since we do have a seperate audio/video engineer and a caster that could be thrown into an american footbal game to cast enthusiasm three times around the clock. So while there's always room for improvement I beg to differ it's all negative ;).
epic threesome

I saw the latest output of Kaos TV, Seanza. It was what they always do.
The accent does not suffice, Smuggy. A_Spec sounds North American. That is about it. He likes the "larger than life" casting style. A lot of over-the-top material is online. He comes across on stream as if he cannot tune out his personal disillusioned nature. The national sports casters in the USA lack this professional quality somehow. When a gamer has had a bad LAN tournament, to mock this player on stream and ask someone from his team or organisation if they will drop him from the team is pathetic. That the guy actually was dropped after the tournament does not make it any less out of place. Guanaz it was.
To give the whole population of Germany shit for being German is laughable. The understanding of international policy is absent when "the Germans" are meant to "try once again, given the chance." Unless some robust German veteran plays Promod nowadays, it is really easy. No German player went around Europe, killing quite successfully. It is an issue for a lot of Germans to constantly be reminded for something they in most cases were neither a part nor have an understanding of, despite having had to deal with the issue in school several times. To leave collaborators with the nazi government in about every European country out of here seems reasonable for now. This I consider the scope adequate for this post in this regard.
To avoid clipping, there is no need for heavy hardware investments. The audio sequencing area is wide and mostly based on software, until sound design and other preferences bring in expensive audio processing in hardware. Expensive because hardware is not downloadable as cracked versions yet. An issue for those making money with it. Routing audio around applications is possible in software and does not necessitate dedicated hardware; maybe except for a soundcard. An understanding of levels, how clipping actually sounds and how to prevent it is not optional though.
Regarding the video, a combination of the Kaos TV look with the Memia TV bitrate would be a step in the right direction. Surely, what is called ADSL, ADSL 2 and so forth nowadays is completely insufficient when HD video is meant to be transferred at a reasonable speed. That does not prevent anyone to actually offer HD casts as a download. Not the 720p YouTube or Twitch.tv stuff, the real one.
It is not all bad. There are casts. There is room for improvement.
Speculation. Legend. Unless TosspoT or Deman got interested again somehow, it was before my interest in Call Of Duty. Deman was good on stage at i43. Better that A_Spec in every case.

Flaming is fun from time to time. It does not change anything. And it takes time.

There's criticism and there's constructive criticism.
Maybe if you bothered to split your fancy wording and deranged train of thought into paragraphs, people would take your overly arrogant attempt at offering criticism more seriously.
Expecting perfect quality from a free (and in MemiaTV's case, amateur) service, is expecting a little bit too much, but I'm pretty sure you didn't consider that, you know.. completely lost in your vast knowledge of sound & video production, broadband technology, HD terminology and overall streaming requirements.
Enjoy being a dick, while the rest of us enjoy the stream.
I am aware that what I offered will be ignored completely; I was before I bothered to type it.
To sit here, reading some broken announcement about something so primitive throughout and not having a laugh via foreseeable interaction with its proponents is asking a bit much.
Good fun for a while though.
He's fucking sick
Make it happen.
