With the Crossfire Intel Challenge 7 taking place in just two weeks from now, between the 5th and 7th of March, the Crossfire admins have released the tournament structure of the €9,000 Call of Duty 4 tournament.A total of 48 teams will be entering the tournament, divided into 8 groups of 6 teams each. All groupstage matches are best-of-one MR12 and maps are determined by veto (map elimination).
Of each group, the top 2 will advance to a single elimination playoff bracket. All playoff games are best-of-three MR12.

After a lot of hard work the Crossfire organisation has managed to change 12 groups of 4 teams into a 8 groups of 6 teams event. Now 32 will drop out after groupstages, but they will have played 5 games. With the 12 groups of 4 format 24 teams would of been out after just 3 games.
So as you can see. The current format gives you a lot more playtime. Perhaps if you would of been able to be there friday morning you could of played 2 days maybe even 3 depending if you make it out of the groups.
gl to all attending x
how does tex work? groups of 4 with top 2 goin thru and 3rd place to LB?
otherwise the 2/3 of the teams playing only one day

stop giving other structure and wish goo luck to all
cya there hopefully
prop with 4teams in the group you wont play 5games for the less decent teams.
so be happy that ur playing 5games for sure.
and if you wanne come far you need to beat all so.
gl for all teams attending still hoping i can attend:)
gogo tlr<3
sick veto format, gj guys :)
2 weeks ago you'd be attending knowing you could be 3 games from being out of the tournament, to raise that to a minimum of 5 whilst also keeping the BO3 system is without doubt a great result :)))
how?
Every team will pick their own map + decider by VETO ?
OR
Veto 2 maps out and from rest 3 maps teams will pick their map and last will be decider
btw, cant wait for your offline 35 bombz
So, dunno
1) Coin toss
2) Loser of coin toss picks their map
3) Winner of coin toss picks their map
4) Loser of coin toss removes a map
5) Winner of coin toss removes a map
6) Remaining map is played as the 3rd map.
We as admins will be keeping track of your map picks. You cannot pick the same map twice in a row during playoffs.
This is how it works for the Groupstages
1) Coin toss
2) Loser of coin toss removes a map
3) Winner of coin toss removes a map
4) Loser of coin toss removes a map
5) Winner of coin toss removes a map
6) Remaining map is played
It is not allowed to remove the same maps in two following matches. E.g. Team 1 removes map A + B in first match. In second match Team 1 is only allowed to remove map A or B + another map. In Third match Team 1 is once more allowed to remove map A + B.
Thats all.
Cu guys there :)
