ESL has recently reported that they have taken an emergency measure that allows forbidden moves again that could not be detected besides on replays. This is because they are currently unable to enforce these rules and take action. Without a proper way of acting against these rules the players will now be allowed to make these moves again until the matter is resolved.
Official statement from the ESL"Due to the current situation of being in most cases unable to review any kind of replays, all rules that depend on replays have been suspended. The rules for all forbidden moves that were included in the rules from FIFA 09, and when a Pause is used are suspended effective immediately until it is possible to properly enforce them. We hope you understand that this emergency action is needed to get the ladder fully open."
Statement from professional player Patrick "Rollo" Rol from the Antwerp Aces"This decision is a very bad one made by ESL. By allowing forbidden moves, players will most likely train on bugs you really don't want to see in fifa matches, such as own half goals. There are good ways for admins to detect forbidden moves, for example with demo's. The thought behind this rule is to alleviate the workload on the admins, but now there's a good chance the ladders will become practically unplayable in a decent way."
