About one month ago the news broke through the scene, Team Evil Geniuses signed four players from compLexity right after CGS closure, leaving
Jason Lake with nothing. The mastermind behind compLexity's rise from the amateur division to the world professional circuit was harsh with EG's owner Alex Garfield, who he described as a traitor.
Today
compLexity takes an important step towards the team's ascension as they sign former Jax Money Crew Counter-Strike team to represent them in 2009. Along with the team comes three experienced managesr, Alex "
JaX" Conroy, JMC owner, who will enroll the Chief Development Officer duties while Jason "Anomoly" Bass and Josh "Dominator" Sieveres will assit both Alex and Jason in the management.
Lake is confident the team will take the lead during 2009,"the combination of attitude, work ethic, selfless play and raw skill that this roster possesses will give our fans one hell of a fun ride in 2009", he said to
GotFrag.com. "It will take them some time to get back into 1.6 form, but this organization is patient and relentless".
Also Justin "
sunman" Summy revealed his excitment for this new adventure, "it's going to be fun to get back in the game with 5 dedicated players, and start competing in international tournaments. (...) The fans make it exciting to be back." Summy also takes the chance to deny any rumours of possible roster changes, the team is working hard to get back on track, get rid of Source habits, and face what 2009 holds for them.
compLexity will be represented by the following five:
Mike "method" So
Sal "Volcano" Garozzo
Justin "sunman" Summy
Erik "da_bears" Stromberg
David "zid" Chin
