Just two weeks ago, we reported on CODGaming.dk's initiative to create a bigger and more sustaining Call of Duty 4 league by expanding its own long-running National Danish league to a Scandinavian one, hoping to attract both the big name teams from Sweden, Finland and Denmark as well as giving young and talented teams a place to hone their skills.
Meanwhile, there have been some extra updates concerning the event and the structure behind the league. CODGaming.dk has been working hard behind the screens to create a generally more appealing league to play in and started that by tying itself to the infamous Vita-Nova organisation in Call of Duty 4. The winner of the event will be given a guaranteed #cod.academy pass and should they already find themselves in that channel, they will receive a bump up to #cod.preinvite.
Another important piece of information is the fact that the organizers have been able to secure €300 as a prize purse for the league. Whether or not this prize purse will expand in the coming weeks is yet uncertain, however, they are in talks with several possible hardware sponsors to give the whole league some added prestige and an extra incentive for the teams to give it their best.

As you can see from the Dates listed above, the sign-up deadline for the first Season of the CODGaming.dk Scandinavian League is until tomorrow, Friday March 11th, and if you were to sign up your team, you will join the 26 teams who have already been confirmed. On another note, H2kTV will be covering the league as well throughout its 9 weeks of Call of Duty 4 play.

A) This isn't run by Sarabande or qdk, but by volunteers who run the Danish CoD site CoDGaming.dk
B) It's a Scandinavian league, Power wouldn't be able to enter if they wanted to
C) As far as I recall, TeX '08 and SEC paid out - weren't you at those events?
Just clearing a few things up, no need to bash a nice initiative for the .sca scene :)
