As you can see it was an incredibly tight game that went all the way to the end. fnatic however, were your eventual winners of the tournament. I did an interview with Stevy that you can find in the Cadred version of this post.

But for now we will call it a day. fnatic are your champions of CIC7 and walk away with a massive cheque for €5,000. They gave us one of the best finals of all time, and I am sure the talk about it will go on for many a month after this.

We have a gallery with lots of great photos of the final coming your way very shortly so stay tuned.

zenith was solid in the finals. Was a great final to watch reallly close especially crossfire with revoltz clutch :D Reason kind of threw it away on attack they shouldve had a 8-4 attack instead of 6-6 but even then the 12th and winning 13th round fnatic got on strike could have gone either way :[

congrats Fnatic, well deserved and sick play overall by the entire team (and Stevy in particular).

gotta say though, was really impressed with Reason, they seemed to have a very controlled playstyle and duffeR was an absolute machine in those last few matches i saw :)

duffeR was the all rounder man
Keep doing like this Reason, and you will keep on top of every tournament :-]

btw, so many sick things happened in the final, but that last frag on crossfire (that took it to OT) was amazing TimD, and if you stop playing now I will consider cutting myself.

ul reason:(
reasons silly little mistakes cost them in the final rounds on strike and also no being able to close out many 4vs2, fanatic on the other hand were solid didnt really make mistakes and pulled it out the bag when needed.

Really good game

TimD saved the day on crossfire though, If he woulnd't of killed the defuser one millisecond before he was killed it would most likely be a 2-0 game

Good working tim making it more tense :D

reason had a harder route and had to play a much higher standard of teams, fnatic had close games against shitters, so i think reason deserved it more, but nevermind, WP fnatic n00bz ;]

not that many 'shitters'?

they played corgz, who beat dig
they played infinity, who knocked speedlink out and beat a few other good teams

so wasnt THAT much easier, just cos reason played dig n h2k in the PO's :D

Great matches throughout.

The whole reason Fnatic where in the final is all down to odyx amazing 4v1 clutch at 11-6 vs Hostile Faction. They were playing so off until that moment it just lifted the entire team from then on not dropping another round and then taking 2 quick maps vs Infinity Skills. For me by far the best play of the tournament despite some of the good aces we saw this time around.

In the finals D1ablo didn't really get going and Stevy had Soclon locked down on strike so much it took him out of the game for a large portion of the map. duffer went above and beyond literally carrying the team to rounds for a while but couldn't match the scope of Stevy for map control. Reasons nades were also not landing on Strike like they had in the group stage due to Linqan/odyx changing it up a little on A defence.

Good to see everyone, not sure if I will be doing any more events (getting old and like my home comforts!) that's not to say I will be stopping casting.

duffer played really stable, and as someone said earlier RevoltZ did a god damn important shot on the defuser, and overall a good job, On Fnatic i'd say Odyx played really good, aswell as stevy as usual:) i was jumping of excitement in my chair when Zenith clutched the 1v2 though:D
