This evening marks the official beginning to the long anticipated Crossfire Intel Challenge 7, albeit the LAN itself is still over three weeks away, the seeding tournament is now open for sign-ups and looks to be well under-way by next week!
Unlike your conventional LAN event, CIC7 will be offering the community more competition long before the doors are even open, with a Call of Duty 4 Seeding Tournament to determine seed pools, specifically 1-8, 9-16, 17-32 and 33-48, all a reflection of team performance throughout this tournament.
Organisers and tournament admins alike have added in an official news post over at Crossfire, that any team who fail to partake in the tournament for any reason will be placed in the lower pool, an exception is to be made for the American roster of Loaded, however their seeding position is of yet to be stated.
The 48 team event will be split perfectly into 8 groups of 6 teams, where all sides will face on another until the group stages finishes, which will then see the top 2 from each group advance to a single elimination playoffs bracket, featuring 16 teams.
