In a press release Heaven Media stated that
Alienware will now support the recently announced £ 6,000 Counter-Strike Source tournament. The tournament is an invite only competition between four of the hottest Counter-Strike teams out there and the prize purse is quite interesting.
The most interesting part of the press release, however, was Alienware's statement that they will be more involved in gaming in the next months, so we'll most likely see their name pop up more as sponsor of an event.
“Alienware has huge plans in 2009, and this is an exciting opportunity for visitors to see our Area-51 X58 in action. We work closely with the gaming community, and this partnership with Heaven Media and Gadget Show Live is just one of the many ways we hope to engage them this year” stated Claudina Lopez from Alienware.
The tournament is set to take place during the Gadget Show, the live event following the popular Channel 5 series (UK) and is aiming at 30,000 spectators to come take a look. Gadget Show takes places in Birmingham NEC 17th-19th April. eSports will be represented at the event by this tournament and hopefully a good show will be produced so we will see more eSports as part off a mainstream event in the future.
** update **Today Heaven Media also released the four invited teams who will participate in the tournament and also released the website for this event. Here are the four teams who will participate in this event:

Crack Clan

Verygames

Team Coolermaster

Team Dignitas
As you can see some of the best teams in the world will be battling it out so we can expect a great competition. To visit the official tournament website simply go to http://gadgetshow.cadred.org/
