Equipped with an Alienware M11x laptop, a video camera, and a set of camping equipment, and with €3,500 at stake, this years contestants will travel across Europe to entertain their global audience. The four participants, Emer Sugrue, John "Friza" Reilly, Miguel Alonso and Petya "FoXy" Jeleva, will compete in weekly challenges and have all travelled to London, United Kingdom for their first adventure and it's up to you to determine who earns the extra cash!

All entries can be found in the blogs of Miguel, Emer, John and Petya, but just to make it easy:

To vote on any of this week's entries, head over to the official website by clicking (HERE). To make it interesting, all votes will be entered in a Alienware M11x laptop prize draw.

Week 2 Challenge

Now settled into their backpacking adventures and in various locations around Europe, Week 2 sees our contestants tasked with a musical challenge. The challenge is to find, film AND interview a musical performer/s. The performance can be of any nature, whether it be a live band at a concert, a DJ in a club or a performance on the streets. The performance can be in part or full but must include an interview to talk about the performers musical background and inspirations.

So our contestants need to go out and find something musical that can inspire people, that has inspired them or that appeals to them in one way or the other. Report about it and let us know, bonus points can be earned for participation in the musical performance.

We will of course keep you posted on their progress and the upcoming challenges. For more info on the contestants and to read their blogs, tweets and much more, head over to www.alienwarechallenge.com.

Thought Emer was a boy, but it's a girl with an annoying voice.

Anyways, I have voted for Petya - just because of the Jamaican she has filmed at 4:01 and the street performers after. :D>

Good luck to the other participants.

These might be interested if the stories being told where interesting/entertaining and if it was shown through a high quality medium. Instead someone has plastered together a bunch of shitty pictures and footage together through windows movie maker, all in a pathetic attempt to gain votes from an audience that is probably no larger than that you would see at a Sunday League football match.

Although, it doesn't help that the "challenges" set are so lame and devoid of any entertainment value, that it's almost impossible to make the video interesting. What's next week's challenge? Find a Bishop and ask for his favorite bible verse?
