After several weeks of hardship travelling across Europe completing challenges for the glory of first place in the Alienware Backpacking Challenge 2011 one contestant has come out on top...
Just three months ago we announced the fabulous opportunity for four lucky contestants to follow in the footsteps of last year's Backpacking challenge winner Livia "Liefje" Terrnstra. Equipped with just an Alienware M11x laptop, a video camera and a set of camping equipment this year’s contestants travelled across Europe to amuse and bewilder an audience that spanned the entire globe.
Now, after months of challenges, travelling and new experiences the 2011 edition of the Alienware Backpacking Challenge has drawn to a close. In what was the closest battle for victory to date, seeing both Miguel and Petya battling it out for top spot, only a couple of votes separated the pair. But now, after an antagonising wait Alienware have released who wound up on top, none other than Miguel Alonso. He managed to walk away with a cool €3,500 in cash alongside his Alienware M11x laptop that he used throughout his adventure.
