AEF: Review Team-Dignitas vs MondialServers

Team-Dignitas prevent their early demise by picking up a win over MondialServers to put them in the play-offs.

The battleground is mp_strike, but the match started off slowly. The rounds take long and MondialServers are trying to play an aggressive game and cut off the Dignitas players really early in the round to gain the numerical advantage.

Team-Dignitas are on the attack and finally seem to have awoken, staying calm, doing better individually and talking a lot during rounds, deciding where to go and what site to attack.

Having pulled out the special goods, robyYE is playing on one of his special games, opening up the map for Team-Dignitas and allowing the rest of the team to run int othe sites.

The Brits seem to have been doing better as well, they seem to respond better to teams who in themselves are stronger, yet they should stop underestimating the lesser teams.

The half ended at 9 to 3 and everyone around me agreed that this was a done deal, but MondialServers did not want to throw in the towel just yet. They snagged three rounds from Team-Dignitas and made it 10 to 6.

Team-Dignitas replied in similar style, however, and picked up the following two rounds to secure the match point. Every round will count now, MondialServers need to bring their A game if they want to pull a draw, Dignitas on the other hand cannot afford to get nervous now, just play their game and approach all rounds without doing too dumb things and then they are sure to pick up one of the remaining five rounds.

It did not last long, though, the team remained calm and gave themselves the last remaining ticket into the play-offs. Team-Dignitas can sigh from relief, knowing they just barely passed the group stage and were quite fortunate that robyYE dropped a starling performance to help them beat MondialServers
