H2k Gaming beat Reason Gaming in a match that saw a very boring and one-sided citystreets and a thriller of a crossfire. H2k Gaming advance to meet up with SPEED-LINK in the Quarter Finals.Going into the match, Reason Gaming are feeling extremely confident or just indifferent about the match, as they just walked to H2k Gaming and said they could pick the three maps for the match.

After over an hour of waiting, the match finally started and Reason Gaming start on offence. Reason Gaming do seem to be taking this match seriously, communicating way better and not getting too careless in the first rounds, as they did in the group stages.
In the 8th round, D1ablo almost pulled off a 1 on 4 and was only shot down at the last moment by an H2k Gaming player and H2k Gaming are feeling good, aggressively pushing mid and B link to keep Reason from setting up their bomb attacks. The score is 4 to 4 and the game is being played rather slowly and Reason are not taking any brash risks in any of the rounds.
Right now, H2k Gaming are locking down the bombsites well, especially A and the mid way into A. Reason Gaming aren't taking the risk of going B and are pushing A too much and H2k Gaming are expecting them, in the later stage of the first half, it was all Reason Gaming did and that explains the 8 to 4 halftime score in favour of H2k Gaming.
H2k Gaming do not want to make the same mistake and immediately push B with them planting the bomb and hiding near fences and clothes store to keep as much distance between Reason and themselves. froz is rocking the B bombsite for H2k Gaming as he has taken five frags there already as well as planting the bomb.
Reason Gaming are starting to get slightly irritated and they need to snap out of that, if they want to rectify the mistakes on this map and prevent H2k Gaming from taking an early one map lead in this best-of-three. The curse that when D1ablo is playing well, it means a loss for Reason Gaming, seems to be coming out, with D1ablo topping the Reason scoreboard, but the team itself trailing 7 rounds on the defensive side of mp_district. H2k look very confident now and with them reaching matchpoint already after 16 rounds played in total, it looks like a real anti-climatic result for such a headliner match-up.
H2k Gaming secure the first map easily and the match moves over to mp_crossfire, with Reason Gaming becoming more cross at each other and H2k Gaming sailing high.
mp_crossfire
Apparently mp_crossfire is the best map of both Reason and H2k, so this should turn out to be a real nailbiter, at least giving Reason a better shot at playing that third map.
The balance between Reason and H2k Gaming seems to constantly shift, with all the rounds going heavily in favour of the one team and the next ones in favour of the other, the rounds themselves are white-washes, but they keep trading the rounds, there is no team getting a real lead.
The main difference after five rounds is qLimAxzqU is hitting all his shots and making sure that Reason only has one player on B somewhere as well as keeping SoCLoN at bay with his shots, which is affecting the former Dignitas player, as he is sitting at the bottom of the frag count.
Reason Gaming changed up their defence to stay way more defensive at B and stay in kebab, D1ablo did well and took down three to hopefully get the defuse and a round to Reason, but Mumma dominated mellon and won a 1 on 3 to put his team 6-2 in the lead.
D1ablo finally managed to reach mellon and it immediately paid off for Reason, totally clearing the back side of the B bombsite to make the half 4-8. Reason Gaming now need a huge attacking half if they want to not go out of the tournament.
froz did not have a great first half, but did have some good moments that decided some big rounds for the Swedes. But the H2k Gaming debutant has really defended the A house with style and took some good frags towards B, disallowing Reason to get a bomb down.
H2k Gaming have allowed D1ablo to run through kebab for a couple of rounds now and he has gotten in the team's back quite successfuly twice. The Swedes are concentrating on keeping A too much, not trying any risks on mellon and they need to prevent Reason Gaming from playing fast games. The gap was five rounds and has shrinked to 1, H2k need to close this game out now, there is no time to waste.
H2k Gaming rightfully called a time-out and wanted to slow down Reason's momentum, but it did not seem to work, as Reason still picked up the next round and we are at 11 to 10. H2k Gaming seem very absent and are being ever so quiet during the rounds, the communication seems gone on their side.
SoCLoN has not been able to put his mark on this scope-favoured map and it is what they are lacking right now, they cannot find an opening and SoCLoN is not there to create one for them. They got the 24th round on lock-down, without him, and overtime peeked his head around the corner.
Reason are on defence again and they are playing their slow and defensive approach again, just spamming the B bombsite, letting H2k Gaming make the cross and stacking A. Mumma saves the first overtime round again, with another stellar 1 on2 situation.
The second round went Reason Gaming's way, but with a bit more of luck for the Swedes, he might have spotted D1ablo in the last three seconds to get a win. Reason secured the final round and head into the second overtime with a round advantage.
The final round of the first overtime is down to a 2 on 2 with the bomb down for Reason Gaming, froz decides the round by nading Lighters and spraying down dUffER, defusing the bomb and giving H2k Gaming another shot at winning this match in two.
Second overtime and it seemed as if Reason were looking to get another 2-1 defence, but mySn changed all that when he took four frags in the last round of the first halftime of the second overtime to turn a 2 on 5 disadvantage in a 2 on 1 win.
H2k Gaming reach matchpoint again and the rounds had been rather slow in this second half of the second overtime and none of the teams are wanting to take unnecessary chances or risks, playing a long-distance game. The tension is high and the nerves are being tested. H2k Gaming secure it and win the thriller match to put them in a match-up against SPEED-LINK.
