SPEED-LINK are having to prove their worth in a match that might give them a shot at matching their Crossfire Intel Challenge 7 result and reach top 8. TCM-Gaming need to step up their day form to justify their 6th seeding.

Now this match brings us back to about the biggest grudge match of nationalistic pride in the entire tournament. The best Germans play the best French. Both teams have been doing well in the last months and are considered their country's last hope at some belated glory in Call of Duty 4.

Both the French and German scenes have really withered ever since Call of Duty 4, with none of the countries coming close to winning some of the big and major LANs in the game's past.

TCM-Gaming can be very satisfied that they have been given a 6th seed, because purely based on the results, they have not earned it in all fairness. SPEED-LINK at the same time, could have been given a higher seed than the 10th they have now. Both teams also underwent some line-up changes in the past weeks to compensate for inactivity problems.

Out of both teams, TCM-Gaming have been the far more active one: visiting the Gamersject LAN 3 event in Croatia and doing a bootcamp at Marc "vazy" Berthold's house the week after and even trying to organize some last-minute bootcamping at the Outpost event. SPEED-LINK have not been playing a lot throughout the last weeks, because of Michael "Trigger" Sowa's job commitments and have thus been crunching the game in the last days, hardcoring all day yesterday to work on some last details on some of the maps and trying to get Michael's form up to par.

Even though the Frenchmen enjoyed this advantage, they have not been looking sharp all day, in some of the lesser matches. They looked unorganized and not enjoying the matches at all, which was proven by the lack of communication between the players themselves.

vazy will need to whip his boys into shape rather quickly, making sure they are all pumped up for this vital match, because the French will not have to do much to lose out on an 'easy' route into the play-offs. SPEED-LINK are looking very eager to beating TCM-Gaming, though, and I am going to put my confidence in the team's eagerness. During the first matches today, they have been relying on Trigger taking it somewhat easier, but the old man in Call of Duty will need to step up his individual game as well, if they are hoping to beat their seed and being allowed to snooze until 10h30 tomorrow.
