MondialServers and Team Thermaltake are squaring off in a match that gives Team Thermaltake little leeway concerning their further tournament presence. The Frenchmen did well at Gamersject LAN 3 and finally beat their countrymen, TCM-Gaming, at LAN, opening the possibility for a power switch in the French-speaking community. But then they lost quite easily against Rage Gaming, creating for some dubious and unstable results going into the Antwerp Esports Festival.
The team feature a mix of known and experienced players, together with some new blood in the French scene and are taking this constellation in a battle with the German underdogs. Team Thermaltake for one, have not yet had any experience on LAN as a team. Moreover, they have had their fair share of line-up problems in the past.
On top of all that, Team Thermaltake have already lost a match, not really giving them that many possibilities to advance into the play-offs, if they cannot manage a win over the French, or at least a draw.
MondialServers are almost definitely better on most areas, with highly experienced players who have been to major European LANs in the past and a team that has been working hard for several months and having not yet dropped any points, this means that the ball is in the German's camp. They'll need to take this match seriously and try to pressure the Frenchmen straight away if they still want a fighting chance in the group stage.
It should be a done deal in favour of the French, though, and that is how I am going to predict this match as well, with Team Thermaltake hanging by a wire and needing to pull out something out of the ordinary to overcome this challenge.
