UKeSA Premiership Week 7 - TCM over Dignitas

UPDATE
Team Dignitas versus Team CoolerMaster was played yesterday evening. Playing 4 versus 5, with one of the Dignitas players unable to play, TCM managed to secure a spot in the UKeSA Premiership playoffs with a 22-2 victory.

With their win, TCM finishes second in the groupstages behind Team Dignitas, while fnatic just misses out on the playoffs based on rounds won vs rounds lost.

After fnatic's 13-11 victory over Button Bashers, only one match remains in the groupstage of the UKeSA Premiership, with the current number one, Team Dignitas, taking on Team CoolerMaster, who are in good shape to qualify but need to win at least eight rounds to reach the playoff stages.

In case Team Dignitas wins by more than 10 rounds, fnatic advances and TCM will finish 5th in the overall standings, just missing out on the playoffs.

The game will be broadcasted live on Quadv.com tomorrow evening at 20:50 CET (19:50 GMT), shoutcasted by Leigh "Deman" Smith. With only one match to go, the standings are currently as follows:

In the decider of the UKeSA Premiership groupstages Europe's current number one, Team Dignitas, who have so far gone through the groupstage undefeated, will be taking on Team CoolerMaster.

Team CoolerMaster are close to qualifying for the playoffs after a successful run, with a victory over Reason Gaming and a draw versus fnatic, but need at least 8 rounds to advance. Losing by more then 10 rounds will be fatal and would mean fnatic advances to the playoff stages, having a higher rounds won-rounds lost ratio.

Assuming rounds won - rounds lost determines the winner in case of a tie, TCM will need to take at least 8 rounds, finishing the game with a 8-16 loss.

Although Dignitas already secured their first place a couple of weeks ago and tonight's result will in no way influence their standing, the pressure is on for Team CoolerMaster. A 18-6 victory versus Button Bashers and a 16-8 win over Reason Gaming indicate that things could well get very close.
