TEK9 at MIAGE 2008
After qualifying for the ESL Pro Series Benelux LAN finals last week, tonight the TEK9 Counterstrike 1.6 was back in action, taking on DCC Gaming in the sixth EPS Matchweek.
In what was expected to be a real thriller, the TEK9 team took on the number one team in the Benelux, DCC Gaming (ex-CNO Gaming) in the sixth matchweek of the prestigious ESL Pro Series Benelux on de_train.
The team got off to a rough start as CT on de_train, losing the pistolround and several rounds straight. The momentum however shifted halfway through the first half, with the TEK9 team managing to get into the game, finishing the first half with a 7 to 8 score.
Despite losing both pistol rounds, the team managed to take control after being down 0-2 in the second half. Winning six straight rounds as T, TEK9 needed three more rounds to secure a victory. With both teams exchanging rounds back and forth, it all came down to the final round, with the TEK9 1.6 team being up 15-14.
With some strong play by ciseta in the final round, the team managed to seal the deal and secure their fifth victory in the ESL Pro Series Benelux. With one matchweek remaining, the team is currently tied for first place together with Logic Team, who still have two matches open.
