Yesterday, on the 28th of August, the newly completed TEK9 CoD4 faced off against the Czech side eSuba in the Grand Finals of the Live2Win league.
Starting out with teams such as MYM, H2k and fnatic, the tournament drew in attention from some of Europe's best teams and some fierce competition ensued. TEK9 stormed through the opening rounds without too much difficulty until they faced the now disbanded side of SPEED-LINK which subsequently knocked the team down into the lower bracket.
However this set back did not demoralise the side, who returned to their old form quickly with wins over nEophyte and NCS to reach it to the Grand Finals, using their latest addition to the team, mark.
Coming from the lower bracket the team would need to win two maps against extremely tough opposition, and this finally proved too much for TEK9. Things started off well with a 13-6 win on mp_crash, however the team could not take home the advantage and lost the subsequent mp_crossfire with the same scoreline.
