Sebastian "Spart1e" Siira went some way to make up for his poor IEM Dubai performance last night with a first place finish in the LowLandLions October QuakeLive cup. The Swede has looked out of sorts in recent weeks with an 8th to 12th place finish in Dubai and a recent ClanBase EuroCup defeat to Ben "Sc00t" Siebert but got his online form back on track to claim a deserved victory here. Victories over former SK player Bogdan "bodzo" Mazur and, in the final, Marcel "k1llsen" Paul saw the fnatic star come out on top in a cup featuring a fairly strong selection of players.
As well as the established Quake names on show, the cup also featured two ex-CoD stars, Kenneth "plaZma" Aulie and Laurens "doekoe" Cortvriendt, who along with new Reason-Gaming signing Jyri "kAMMYz" Högman are representitive of a large contingent of former Call of Duty players now trying their luck in QuakeLive. Of the pair, "doekoe" managed to progress farthest only to eventually lose out to "Spart1e" himself. LLL QuakeLive October Cup Final Standings
