Following the split of the old SL line-up (smithz, n1Tro, sMITty, kevin & asset) the end of July, today the SPEED-LINK organisation has announced its return to the Call of Duty battlefields.
SPEED-LINK has officially welcomed choZen as its CoD4 team, who are regarded as one of the more promising teams from the German scene. The mainly German based team recently finished at a respectable 5-6th place in the second season of the ESL Major Series and strengthened their line-up with former SPEED-LINK player
gene just under a month ago.
With this news, the brand new SPEED-LINK team has undergone a small line-up change and announced they have parted ways with longtime
snX, who lacked the time to play on a regular basis. Despite the loss of snX, the team has revealed it will not bring in any new players and stick with the current line-up, which looks as follows:
spow (team manager)
z1NSTAR
Lynx

gene
dexterrr (back-up)
Statement SPEED-LINK Management: "Before we split up with our CoD 4 Team we already know, we still want to be a part of the Call of Duty scene. Team SPEED-LINK has been and still is a well known name in CoD all over the years. With our new Team we are looking forward to represent us, especially offline, better and stronger than before and hoping for a great common future."
Statement SPEED-LINK spow: "Since a few months we played under our own label choZen, looking for a serious partner for our future. We got many offerings, but only some of them were interesting. After the old Team SL shuts down we got in contact with Rene and came relatively fast to a conclusion.
With SPEED-LINK we gained a strong partner who can help us for sure, to develop more and more. Of course we are under the pressure to fill the shoes of the old great SL CoD Teams, but I'm sure my team can handle this pressure and won't give up."
