SPEED-LINK says goodbye to gene

Just days after a rather dissapointing performance at the iPowergames in Paris, France, top German team SPEED-LINK has been struck by yet another line-up and forced to say goodbye to longtime member gene.

Despite the team's impressive performances in the last months and SL winning both the ESL Major Series II and ESL Summer Cup June last night, an internal conflict made gene decided to leave the German team, having clashed with one of the team's members after the iPowergames.

Surprisingly, gene had rejoined the German topteam just under three weeks ago after solving the issues at his work that were holding him back from attending LANs. His departure leaves SPEED-LINK in a complicated situation and forces the German team to make a last minute pick-up before the summer LAN season kicks off in just two weeks from now.

Statement SL smithz, www.lowlandlions.com: " First of all I want to say thank you to gene for the time beeing in our team. His motivation during the Matches really helped us pushing us to fight back in many many matches. But after the Ipower Lan he just didnt felt confi in the team anymore since he didnt like 1 of the team anymore at all, we tried to sort this out by having argues and also conversations. It just not felt right anymore so we had to let him go. I wish eugen the best of luck in the future and wanna announce that we are searching for a replacement now. Its important that hes german speaking, so if u feel u are the right? Contact me! We dont have much time for finding a new one since the upcoming summer lans are on its way so we are not sure if we gonna add someone directly to our roster or if we are just searching for a "ringer" to join us for the lan and see afterwards what will happen."
