Followed by the announcement of lineup changes concerning their Call of Duty 4 team earlier this month, yesterday the Dutch gaming organisation of Overload Gaming announced a brand new Counter-Strike: Source team. The team used to play as Devoted Gaming until it was closed in mid April.
As Devoted went down, the guys scattered with
d1ce,
june and
haan staying together playing mixes all night long for the love for the game. They didn't want to gather a serious team because they find it too challenging to find the right players until a week ago go. Back then they got contacted by Overload and got a chance to play as their CSS team if they could find two more players. Former Devoted players
foodas and
focuz agreed to join up.

Statement d1ce: "Devoted Gaming announced its closure on the 14th of April 2008. After this we quit Counter-Strike: Source for a while. Ricardo "june" Minses and Yerke "haan" Faber are my real life friends and we've still been playing the game every night with some other friends, we have always enjoyed playing source even after the Devoted team parted ways. We wanted to play together but we didnt want to make a team that we did not think could do well, which is why we haven't been in teams for a while because we found it challenging finding the right players for our team..
About a week ago, boraK approached us about playing under Overload Gaming, and Yerke, Ricardo and I agreed this was a good idea, so we started talking to the old devoted players, we then decided that playing with Niels "foodas" Rutten and his friend Arash "focuz" Jabbarie would be the best move for us.
This team feels very good to play with because we have all played together in teams previously, namely Devoted, and also because we're all very good real life friends as well.
We goal as a team is to return to the top of the European scene like we were under Devoted. We intend to do this by competing in as many Online and Offline events as we can.
We have a very good feeling about joining Overload and we hope can we play well under them."
Statement XajP, Overload founder: "We, as a management, were very sad to see our previous Counter-Strike: Source team die in silence, however, we had a very good bond with the players and now their very own team leader Aaron White has jumped in to give Overload what they deserve. We are proud to welcome one of the best Counter-Strike: Source teams in the Benelux.
We hope we will be able to have the same bond with this team as we had with the previous one. We wish them the best of luck within our organisation and we are counting on a positive cooperation! "
