MYM officially remove their CoD4 team

With rumours circulating about the future of the young British team for weeks, finally the departure of MYM.CoD4 from the organisation that many were expecting has been confirmed.

The former TLR side joined the g7 organisation after a series of strong LAN results shortly after the release of CoD4 including two second place finishes at i33 and CDC4. However the team never really managed to emulate their prior success and problems arose with their roster with stat being removed to make way for getsome, and then subsequently being re-introduced prior to the summer LAN events.

The side practiced hard in preparation for AEF with a bootcamp in Denmark but this proved fruitless as they were knocked out of the competition by the Canadians from EG and the immense pressure put upon the side for Top-3 results by MeetYourMakers proved difficult to handle.

The disappointment continued at TeX with another placing lower than that expected by the organisation, and although the team managed to snatch a 3rd place at i34, the writing was on the wall and the side were removed.

Team manager Morg will be continuing his work for the organisation which might hint at a future pickup of another CoD4 team although time will tell.

Statement MYM.Mercy: "It's unfortunate that we have to let them go, but again, just like the recent release of our FIFA team, it’s a matter of politics and top 3 results. As harsh as it may sound, then a team that cannot provide the organization with reasonable results on LAN do not fit into our strategy. We only wish to feature TOP 3 teams and when a team is given the opportunity and tools to evolve into that and do not succeed after a decent amount of time, then they do not fit into our strategy. With that said, they as a relatively young team did pretty well, especially with their recent 3rd place at the I34 LAN in the UK, unfortunately the result comes to late. They are all nice guys and I wish them all the best for the future."

Statement MYM.Mark:
"Its been fun, playing with the core of the team since i32 when cod4 came out up untill a day or so ago. There has been some really fun times and some not so fun times but everything has to come to an end i guess. Things could of gone alot better for us as a team if certain things wern't taken for granted and people had the right attitudes at times but we will never know ^_^. So really all i can say is good luck to the lads in what they want to do in the future, and shoutouts to the infused lads and everyone else like remz! haha"
