We have implemented a new system on the website which should make the future easier for everyone. We are introducing the Gamevibes ID. This is a unique ID with which you will be able to log on onto all website of the Gamevibes company. This includes the current TEK9 website and the Antwerp eSports Festival website but will enclose more websites in the future.

We are also implementing a new login system with this change and everyone will be forced to log out and log in again. You will also get a new password in your e-mail account to login with. This way we can guarantee a better safety and implementation of your account in our new central database.

To sum everything up again on how this will work. If you make (or have) an account on ANY of the Gamevibes websites, you will be able to log in onto all websites of the Gamevibes company and your data will just be transferred without any problems.

After the launch at the end of November, we have already grown our database to an impressing 12,750 users and are welcoming another 100 users each day.

* Seems our mailserver got abit overloaded when we sent those 12k e-mails to you guys, so there is still around 5k mails in queue waiting for delivery, so please stop requesting new passwords! :) All mails will be delivered in due time

** At 23:00 the queue is down to 2400 mails, everyone should have gotten their new password around 01.00 if i would to guess a timestamp, however people seem to request new passwords alot so the queue isnt decreasing very fast so to speak.

*** All mails are now delivered, if your still having problems, just request a new password and you should be fine.

So basically, everyone received a new password via mail. You can login using that password and change it by clicking "Change password" in the userpanel.

If there are any problems, message tek9|JETSET in #tek9 or send an email to camiel[A_T]tek-9.net (replace [A_T] with a @)

Why the comment "Don't be stupid to change it back to your old password"... What the hell is wrong with doing that unless the old passwords where hacked/stolen from you, in which case you would've told us so?

Thats just to get people to consider to change password, 90% of the users are using the same password as they did on our old site (yes i did some math work before i actually implemented this new password send out), which is in my opinion more or less stupid, having the same password for years thats just not smart

Okay, maybe you should've formulated a bit better :) We're talking about 12K people who receive a mail which states that if they change their password back to the old one, they're considered stupid.

Not that I mind, I changed it back to the old one anyway ;) Just saying...

Idem goes. Weird formulation.

Our apologies for the formulation, could have been a bit more polite indeed.

There have been quite a few problems last night, with people not receiving the new password mails. Things however should be fixed by now. (Sorry if I replied a little late on irc, i got about 60 pms yesterday evening so it took me some time to go through all of them).

All mails have been sent. However, if you still can't login I would like to advise you to check the following things:

1: Did you accidentily copy a white space in front or behind the password?
2: Try deleting you cookies, restart your browser and login again.

If that does not work, you can always request a new password by clicking on the lost password button. Normally this should solve all the remaining problems. If it doesn't, just contact me on irc (tek9|JETSET in #tek9) or send an email to camiel[A_T]tek-9.net (replace [A_T] with a @).
