G7 Ranking: Fnatic still on top, SK is second

The G7 Teams is a group of the finest organizations in the world that, together, aim to help developing and bringing electronic sports to the mainstream while standing as a link between the community and event organizers around the world. One of most popular projects is the Counter-Strike 1.6 world ranking.

October's arrival brought another update which one didn't cause any big chances in the board, something we can't say about the special update after Los Angeles Global Challenge. Even though Fnatic crashed in the first playoffs round, they were able to keep the #1 spot thanks for their past performances that gave them a good advantage.

On the other hand, SK Gaming had a huge boost for their win in LA. Zet and friends earned 146,25 points thanks for the gold medal and are now second place, less than 60 points below Fnatic. Second placed Made in Brazil got 97,50 points and are now on fourth place only 15 points behind Meet Your Makers.

From the G7 Raking top4, only MYM are currently missing from Montreal's Global Challenge participants list. Fnatic, SK Gaming and Made in Brazil are all confirmed to be in Canada next October 17th to 19th. The full list of participants should be released in the upcoming days as the event starts in less than two weeks.
G7 Ranking - October 2008

1. fnatic - 409,84 pts
2. SK Gaming - 351,04 pts
3. MYM - 290,12 pts
4. MiBr - 275,25 pts
5. mTw - 216,99 pts
6. Mousesports - 141,03 pts
7. e-STRO - 140,65 pts
8. GamePlay - 124,92 pts
9. emuLate - 96,49 pts
10. Alternate - 73,17 pts

It isn't, but it does tell what nation is strongest (SK and Fnatic end at the top at ESWC and WCG also anyways).

"Two consecutive times ESWC Champions and Dreamhack Summer 2008 winners Meet Your Makers already booked their flights to Sweden too."

on one event they lost 16;2 but on another they will win 16;5, on their level cs is just random game o.O
#25 New Zealand Roychez 2008-10-10 18:16:47
MYM.cs haven't won anything important for ages. And I think MYM was first on the event and Fnatic was 2nd, SK & Begrip came close to top 3 too, so if you + everything Sweden came on top, and not Poland.

Anyways, don't get where we're discussing over, since this is all based on FACTS. Sweden is #1 in Counter-Strike 1.6, fact.

#27 Belgium tek9.VulcanO 2008-10-10 20:00:57
Congrats to SK for their performance in LA.

Still fan on the number 1 ... Fnatic ... time to get on top of things again guys !
#28 Sweden jkR 2008-10-12 02:52:20
We are probably the nr1 cs 1.6 country because there isn't a single person between 10 and 25 who hasn't been playing cs :P
