Deadline TEK9 Movie Contest in two weeks from now

After announcing the "In The Spotlight" Movie Contest two weeks ago, we would hereby like to remind everyone that the deadline for the competition is in two weeks from now. The competition will close the 22nd of June 2008, at 20:00 CET.

Following the release of "cem - Alive" and "luckeR - Too Lucky" in the past weeks, today we are happy to present yet another TEK9 Cinema project.

"In The Spotlight" will however not be the name of a new movie, but instead will be an opportunity for moviemakers to show the public what they are capable of and possibly even win some great prizes.

Like the topic already mentions, In The Spotlight is a movie contest hosted by TEK9 Cinema. Everyone is allowed to compete and we will be providing the following prizes for the top10 finishes:

Combi pass for the Antwerp Esports Festival

In The Spotlight focusses on Call of Duty 4 only, and participants are expected to meet the following requirements:

Requirements
Maximum Length: 3 minutes
Music: Free of choice
Game: Call of Duty 4
Maximum Resolution: 1280x720 for aspect ratio 16:9 or 1280x960 for aspect ratio 4:3

When it comes to the content, there are no restrictions. You are allowed to use your own footage, but shots from other players (for example from demos on the TEK9 website) are also permitted.

The deadline for the contest is in 4 weeks from now and will close the 22nd of June 2008, at 20:00 CET. In the week after, all submitted movies will be reviewed by the board (consisting of TEK9 Cinema members inFo- and MAXXUR, and TEK9 CoD4 player kammYz), after which 10 movies will be selected.

The 10 best movies will be presented to the public shortly after, including a streamed and a downloadable high quality version. The eventual winners will be decided by a public vote: a poll will be made available to all registered users.

The Quality (resolution, video-quality and compression)

For the people interested in participating, below you can find the requirements. Movies can be submitted by uploading it to Wipido (www.wipido.com). Although Wipido provides a streamed (and lower res) version of the movie, we kindly ask all participants to upload a full/high quality version to Wipido. The admins are able to download the movie you uploaded in full quality, and will look at the resolution, video-quality and compression.

Important
When you've uploaded your movie to Wipido, send an email to armin[a_t]tek-9.net (replace the [a_t] with @). The topic of this email should be "In The Spotlight Movie Contest", while the mail itself should include your full name and the link to the Wipido stream.
