Due to an unforseen error while working on the website, all comments longer than 256 characters have been cut to a maximum of 256 character. The comments which have been cut have been lost. News, articles, coverage, user, blogs, movies and galleries are the affected areas whereas the forum remains intact.
This means that if someone posted a long comment on a newsitem in the past that it will now not display completely, just the first 256 characters. Due error has been fixed but there is no way of setting the lost data back for the moment for the most recent comments. 10 020 comments (out of approx. 150 000) have been affected, which of we can restore 8300 from a backup. This will be done during the upcoming hour.
With the error being fixed, this also means comments posted from now on will not have the problem anymore. We apologise for any inconvenience.
UPDATE - Those comments that we had a backup of has now been restored, but there is still around 2000 comments affected by this.
