As some of you might have already noticed, this year's Esports Award includes three new categories and will honor the best Call of Duty 4 player, the Consoles Player of the Year, the Consoles Team of the Year and the Best Halo 3 Player.

With Call of Duty 4 being among the newly added categories, we are happy to announce that TEK9's ingame leader Antonin "OZWALD" Grenier is among the five players to be voted upon.

The eventual winner of the contest will be announced on the Esports Award website in just three and a half weeks from now, the 11th of August. Next to Antonin, the following four players have been nominated for the award:

Rob "rob-wiz" Kennedy - Evil Geniuses
Nikolaj "Mazarini" Lazarev - eSuba.HAL3000
Robert "smithz" Krivka - Team SPEED-LINK
Daniel "tidde" Asp - fnatic team

nice but to e honest i know som better cod4 players than ozwald , like soclon sko. but whatever think its pretty bullshit that u can pick the best player? there are dozens of pretty skillers, cant tell me there is one absolute highest of em all, in counter-strike its different heatoN f0rest or froD thats it in cod4 noway u can pick one best player of em all..

You can't choose the BEST player in any game/sport. You simply cannot compare 2 players unless you have recorded every statistic going. Even then its arguable that 1 is better than another because (for example) kills/deaths would have been more relevant in certain situations (like a CPL World Final to a i34 Group stage match). It's not possible to choose completely fairly who is #1, #2 or whatever.

You just make yourself look like more of an idiot by saying in CS you can clearly see that HeatoN, f0rest or fRoD are the best. I think you are forgetting alot of players there who are just as good. To name a few; n0thing, zonic, cogu, solo, Neo, SpawN, hpx etc etc

at #17 ok maybe im wrong about the CS players but i as a CoD player hear ppl say heatoN froD and fOrest are a menace in their game.. but i still think u cant pick a best cod4 player out of them all
