This weekend TEK9's very own FIFA player  Andries Smit will be looking to defend his title at the FIFA Interactive World Cup Grand Final, which will be kicking off this afternoon at Berlin's Sony Center in Germany.

In a thrilling single elimination tournament, Andries will be taking on 31 of the best players from all across the globe in an attempt to win his second consecutive title. The eventual winner will be walking away with $20,000 in cash, as well as a all expenses paid trip to attend the FIFA World Player Gala 2008 up for grabs.

Amongst the 32 players we find FIWC 2005 champion Chris Bullard, Stephen Coorey from Australia and Mexican Ruben Morales, who will all be attending their third FIWC Grand Final. Next to Andries and Chris Bullard, Ruben "Zerocero" Morales is tipped as one of the favorites to win the prestigious event, having come close to making it the final in the previous two occasions
