Tonight at 19.00 GMT the much anticipated U.S. Army produced game America's Army 3 will be released absolutely free!

Primarily used as a global public relations initiative and recruiting tool for the US Army, America's Army 3 is an online tactical FPS with more authentic military elements including training, technology, weapons, and audio than any other military game.

America's Army 3 updates the free-to-play series with Epic's Unreal Engine 3, bringing new missions, features and gameplay modes alongside the new technology.

You can view the official America's Army 3 teaser trailer here.

You can already pre-download AA3 using Steam so when the game is released you can begin playing straight away!

The current version of AA doesn't even come close to the quality offered by games like CoD and CoD2, and I doubt this new version will come close to CoD4. From what I've seen from the trailers AA3 is bland and the animations are jerky, which make it a pain to watch and most likely a pain to play as well.

I'm sorry for the Americans whose tax money is invested into creating this game ^^

How can you even compare AA with COD. It are 2 totally different games. AA is more tactical and requires more teamwork. A lot of players tried AA, but quit again because they got "owned" time after time. COD on the other hand is quite easy to pick up...

What kinda comment is that, do you play cod4 because you want to support activision or because you love to play it. We love to play aa, not many people understand it cause it's rather slow in movement and in public but rounds are not that much longer then in cod4 when you play competitive. The problem is that experience is a really big factor in aa and that's why most new people give up.

Anyways back ontopic dunno about 3.0 don't think it will be as good as 2.x but we'll see maybe with some magical patches it might work.

holy shit... the lightning in this game is impressive.

Also, the overall modeling is amazing, much better than UT3. Good to see that the engine actually can be used for something useful.

Terrible game. Almost the entire DEV team has been fired due to bad work. The game is far from finished and just horrible

Like I said the game is bland and the animations are jerky, guess I am not the only one with that opinion considering they closed the company who made AA3 today: kotaku.com/5296131/americas-army-3-devs-let-go-day-after-launch

Their contracts ran out, that's why they got fired. Big mistake to release the game now while it is far from being finished. Only because devs ran out of contract they released the game.
