Monday  - Well this is it for AEF 2008. Im currently in the hilton lobby with some other crew guys from tek9 having cleared up the event area and packed it all away. I finally got a decent nights sleep which was insanely good,  i have been having wayyyy too much fucapo. Im sure most of you saw the final and i did a post on it which you can find below this one so I wont talk about it too much. The event was great, and bar some pc problems that knocked us off schedule on the first two days the tournament went really smoothly. I hope you enjoyed the coverage from the site and the stuff from quadv, and wel be back in a few days for the experience which looks set to be a really interesting tournament now that Pandemic are the team to beat. cy@

Sunday 17.00 George from Impact just won the dance off, it was hot hot hot.

Sunday 14:15 Komacrew have defied all expectations and knocked out favorites EG in a close game on district. roby and mofje in particular have been huge for the side and now go on to face Dignitas in the consolation final.

Sunday 11:00 Hoooooly crapper we are gonna get us some nervbraking matches i´ll tell you!

Sunday 10:00
Sorry for the lack of updates during the end of yesterday but everything was getting pretty hectic. The games have already started and komakrew just lost to the Americans Pandemic. Dignitas are currently playing EG and TEK9 are warming up for their game against fnatic.

Saturday 17:51
The FIFA groups is finally completed after a huuuge groupstage, the players that made it are now facing one match in a single elimination bracket and then off to a double elimination bracket.

Saturday 17:15
The entire floor was glued to the main stage for hours with SP pulling off an incredible upset by topping their group over Speedlink and redline. They now proceed to the playoffs to face Dignitas, which if past maps are anything to go by, will be a great game. The teams are setting up so it wont be too long.

Saturday 13:00 WOW what a game, MYM managed to pull out a win against UF gaming in a tense battle on crossfire, with the final score going right down to the wire at 13:11. I think morg was more nervous than the team combined but they finally seem in gear.

Saturday 11:15 The first group stage is finally over, with fnatic and SK topping their respective groups. The teams are now all warming up for the second group games, where the final four teams for the bracket will be decided. MYM will definately be looking to keep a clean sheet but will have a tough time against UF and Team impact.

Saturday 08:45 Up bright and early, only a little worse for ware, for this mornings group games. D Link and k1ck are just warming up in the server so that should be underway pretty soon. The coolcats from RABBITS didnt show up, which is actually pretty nice schedule-wise although obviously not ideal.

Friday 22:00 Today's FIFA matches have come to an end. The remaining groupmatches will be played first thing in the morning.

Friday 20:30
Wowza, serious just beat one of the favorites MYM to take first place in their tough group. Loads of games are kicking off at the moment and SP gaming finally get to sit down!

Friday 19:54
Another major update of the FIFA 2008 PC tournament.

Friday 17:03
UF have just beaten the Belgians from Team Defcon pretty easily, so it seems unlikely they will put up much of a resistance to the strong looking EG. NCS and serious are warming up as we speak and mark has his worries about the upcoming fixture with the turks! <:D

Friday 16:55 Seems like a Logitech mouse of a Serious Gaming player is eager to get in trouble and wont "start". Abit more delays because of that!

Friday 15:45
Stevy was pulling out bombs from god knows where against the hungarians, which ended in the favour of the host team, which means they will be advancing out to the brackets with the frenchies zelions taking second place.10-6 up to LLL atm against Team impact in a pretty noisy game.

Friday 14:44 TEK9 have (finally) finished their first game against zellion, the finals score was 13-06. Impact seem to be fairing the better in the game against BHK but judging from the noises coming out of both sides it seems pretty close.

Friday 14:13 Impact experienced some PC problems (installing other drivers or something) causing the delay to increase again as we were greatly gaining on the real schedule, but all in all everything seems to catch up to schedule slowly and steady, right now we are about 2 hours behind i would guess.

Friday 13:10
If you couldnt catch the revolution vs zlions game on quadv, then just give up living, it was pretty sick. The schedule is somewhat getting back on track, and soon tek9 vs zlions & BHK vs impact are gunna start. I havnt eaten in like 15 hours so excuse me for the bluntness.

Friday 12:54 FIFA scores are now up to date!

Friday 12:17
Somehow some of the FIFA timestamps were place on the wrong match apparently. So the coverage were abit off in some of the group timestamps, these have now been corrected and are now the same as the head admins. Score updates for FIFA will be updated in a sec.

Friday 11:10
As you can probably see Infused and Dig managed to take their games pretty easily, and now we are well into the second round of games. Dignitas are currently taking on Ocrana and Zetta are up against H2k. Three rounds in vazy crashed so atm we are just waiting for the game to restart, which is going the way of zetta with a 3-1 scoreline

Friday 10:50 - Apperently Germany OCRANA had some traffic problems or something and called the admins so they didnt play vs Belgium bo0ness as i wrote in the last update, they are gonna play that as round 3 so they switched it around abit messing with everyones heads. But everything should be up to date now in the coverage so have a looksie!

Friday 10:14
- Call of Duty 4 matches has started, thats Germany OCRANA vs. Belgium bo0ness playing district and United Kingdom Team Infused vs. Netherlands team zetta playing backlot. FIFA is also about to start but we are waiting for Portugal LastNight to be found in the crowd somewhere :)

Friday 09:38
- Matches are soon about to start, some minor delays due to the players demanding a ventrilo server installed and the client distributed to them

Friday 09:00 - The first players are entering the venue and setting-up to start their first games.

Friday 00:00 - With the last night of setup winding down to a slow and fairly labored end (40 PC'S to setup = FUN), I thought i would use the time to start the live blog which will, at least in theory, keep you up to date with the latest goings on here at Antwerp including scores and anything else i find amusing / interesting.

The day has seen the event really come together in quite a short amount of time from a big hall with a stage in it to one fairly sexy looking event with most of the bells and whistles attached.

At the moment we are trying to get the servers up and running in time for the way too early start tomorrow and things are looking good so who knows, i might even get a few hours sleep. This is me out until tomorrow when this bad boy properly begins.
