Made in Brazil switch back to Source

Just over a month after Rio Sinistro franchise players cogu, bruno and nak announced their return to Counterstrike 1.6, the recently established Made in Brazil team (cogu, bruno, nak, fnx & bit) has switched back to Source in an attempt to get drafted for the second season of the Championship Gaming Series.

The team's return to 1.6 however did not go quite as expected. The Brazilian mibr team attended the KODE5 Finals in Moscow, Russia last weekend and only to place 5-8th, losing to fnatic in a close 1-2 (16-10, 7-16, 14-16) game after topping their group with victories over SK, EYESports, Wuhan Dragon and ATE.

Switching back to Source, mibr has been forced to bring in one final addition. With the 17 year old mibr player  bit not being old enough to participate in the CGS, Made in Brazil has announced the return of former star player  KIKOOOO, who initially retired the beginning of 2007.

u havent really got the full story =/

Mibr have a 10 man squad, so 5 players have gone to source, and the other 5 are sticking with 1.6.

Enjoy css i guess ..

they will be drafted again for sure, otherwise they wouldn't have switched again.

It will take alot to compete with the likes of OptX/coL now. I don't think they will get the rewards they would have if they had stayed in 1.6.

#20, true they will most likely get drafted and paid but they have the makings of probably the best 1.6 team in the world, or top 3 at least. And im sure that the prizemoney from 1.6 tournaments/lans will add up to more than 17,000 a year from CGS. Because lets face it, Rio Sinistro arn't gonna win many matches are they =]
#31 United Kingdom skorpey 2008-05-15 23:14:10
And the whole Source/1.6 argument isn't worth getting into tbh. The only facts are that the old 1.6 teams (coL, 3D, JaX etc) that moved to Source maintained if not improved their standards. This can only mean that Source is equal to or easier than 1.6.

dunno why they are moving to an awful game while they are doing well on 1.6 :E
