ESL have confirmed €7,800 in prize money for QuakeLive 4v4 TDM in the European Nations Championship (ENC) 2010 season.The news comes as another boost to the game's growing TDM scene just days ahead of the the ENC's opening event at the Gamers Assembly LAN in France. ESL have now divvied up €64,500 of the total cash on offer between the six disciplines with the remainder of ASUS's promised €120,000 set to be split between the five scheduled offline events. Germany, Austria, the Netherlands and the Nordic region have been earmarked as host countries for this season's LAN tournaments along with France but further details on dates or location have yet to emerge from ASUS or ESL.
Qualifiers for the QuakeLive online season are already underway, with the heavyweights of European TDM - Sweden, Russia, France, Austria, Poland and the UK - already qualified via direct invite. The remaining twenty participating nations face three qualification rounds to battle for just six open spots in the regular season. Germany and the Netherlands remain the favourites while Ireland, Croatia and Bulgaria have already dropped out of contention.
