you can use a pc headset on your xbox but you need the astro mixamp to do that.

I would say if you want surround sound for your gaming headset go for the x31 turtle beaches, x1s are stereo which aren't as good. I have the x31s and I love them. Only down side is they need batteries because they are wireless. Batteries can last up to 2 weeks in the headset depending on how loud and how often you use them.

Decent headset for xbox (used it myself before converted to PC) comes with the xbox 360 adapter but you can just buy the adaptor and use any PC headset m8.

get the astro mix amp, you can use any pc headset with it.
