Liverpool has been rumoured to be interested in Darren Bent (Aston Villa), Jorge Fucile (FC Porto), Esteban Granero (Real Madrid) and Luuk de Jong (FC Twente).
Caroll has been absolutely terrible and Bent is class, but he might be way too expensive.. Granero should be a class signing with Lucas out, I believe he's fairly underrated at Madrid.
Arsenal were rumoured to be buying Podolski but apparently that won't happen until the summer. They're also linked with Gotze and Grosskreutz but their BVB contracts aren't up until 2014 so that won't happen until then.
Ideally we need to strengthen the back 4, as we've got a lot of injury problems, but I guess they'll be ok soon enough. If we don't get Podolski in the summer, we still need to buy a big name, money isn't an issue, it's just Wenger's purchasing policy :(
Sneijder will probably be too expensive for United, he earns a lot more at Inter than that Rooney does at United. I'm not sure he would fit in too.
Marco Reus will be going to Dortmund in the summer, excited to see him and Goetze play in the same team. If Goetze stays at Dortmund that is.
Who would fill the gap that Arsenal need right now? More of a temporary solution or an actual buy? Leftback seems priority with Gibbs, Vermaelen and Santos out I assume? If they want to buy someone, they might be able to get Maxwell from Barcelona. He should be pretty cheap and I think he's allowed to leave.
Oh yeah, also heard that Real Madrid would be interested of buying Arsenal's top scorer the dutchman Robin Van Persie. The transfer would be possible in 2013 when Van Persie's contract ends.
EDIT for my previous post:
Neymar would be transferred to Real Madrid in 2012 summer if everything goes correctly and Real Madrid will still be interested to pay the massive 88 000 000£ for him. Neymar’s huge pay packet puts him in the same bracket as Iker Casillas, and is only surpassed by Cristiano Ronaldo.
Arsenal wants Gotze , Podolski and some backs if i know :)
they wont leave gotze, until his contract expands (until summer 2014), but if someone wants to buy him before contract expand he must offer 1 billion euros (saw on news portal)

Liverpool are Interested In Buying Jordan Ibe from Wycombe Wanderers for ~£500k. Don't know if its winter or Summer, but he wants to go to Liverpool after He has finished his GCSEs.
The Lad is 15 years old. he looks like he has a good future ahead of him.
read in the independent this morning that man u are willing to put rooney up for sale :}
there aren't many top players available in this transfer window, so i doubt we'll see any big signings, although the summer will be an interesting one.
Before the paper even hit the shelves they denied it.
Whilst on most occasions the saying theres no smoke without a fire (i.e. there is usually some truth to most reports), its complete speculation. Basically because Fergie told Rooney off for going on a night out on boxing day, made him & Gibson do extra training because of it, and that he was brought off before the end of the Newcastle game the lad is leaving...
Fergie would have to be mad to put him up for sale, especially with him being in good form/ our entire team based around him.
oh oh and arsenal and another team i can't remember are interested in the brazillian strike welliton, who plays for either CSKA or Spartak Moscow, can't remember
1. Not enough money. Yes there possibly could be enough for a big money transfer but i can't see either the Glazers or Fergie wanting to spend big on a player who wont settle till september anyway.
2. Fergie has said multiple times the players that they are monitoring/ want aren't available. He's stubborn and wont change his mind, that said he does have a lot of decisions prove to be brilliant ideas.
I'm not expecting us to buy anything. I'm just hoping Cleverly gets back with some time to make an impact on the season because the lad was shit hot when he was playing at the start of the season. Some good business would be to buy Jordi Alba from Valencia (i think it was Valencia anyway). I've watched him play on TV a couple of times and he was brilliant, would be a brilliant replacement for Evra in the future.
Oh & Goetze is linked with a bunch of clubs. Arsenal seem the most keen but United/Chelsea/Madrid & i think Bayern have been linked with him.
He's 19 & absolutely brilliant, don't think any team would pass him up. At the end of the day though i can't see Arsene competing with the other clubs interested because he wont spend big. His biggest transfer was Arshavin at like 15 mil.
he'll never go to bayern, madrid and chelsea are career suicide. arsenal have alot more money to spend than united, it's just whether wenger will spend it. oh and i think grosskreutz and goetze want to move together
Bendtner is only out on loan, I imagine he will be sold after he comes back though, the lad is absolutely shite.
Djourou shouldn't be sold imo. I think he is perfectly adequate cover for Arsenal. He gets some stick but Arsenal's defensive record when he is playing isn't actually that bad.
unlikely gotze will go to bayern as he's from dortmund and won't want to play for bayern
also don't think man city can buy anyone, new rule in the premier league says teams have to turn a profit and city are nowhere near that, so they have to reduce their wage bill MASSIVELY
well its difficult to buy in january so i partially agree about getting scholes back. but i will be overly surprised if we dont make a major signing in the summer.
If NHL then i think Winnipeg will get some players :)

Gotze won't leave Dortmund this summer, maybe next summer with Grosskreutz.
The boy is quite something.

Fergie completely denied that he is in for Gaitan, & it was like 30 mil euros or something.

But as CSKA qualified to the next round of Champions league I don't think he will leave.

Wolfsburg wanted to get him during this transfer peroid but Wenger refused their offer.

and why should madrid let him go lol
United wont sign anybody in this transfer window
would like to see arsenal making a big signing in defence
i can see chelsea getting krasic
city will probably buy someone because there bored
Pretty sure Sneijder is going to be cheaper because Inter don't want him anymore so I think he's going to united.
If Chelsea buys Krasic then lmao they going to be even shitter ;p

Proof we aint buying shit. He wants to wait until Cleverly is back because he's putting all his faith in him.
