Exercise in your bedroom.

Hi Guys,

Right im currently studying at the University of Gloucestershire, and as money is a massive issue for me and there is such a short period of timer until the end of the year1 i cant join a gym right now.

I was wondering if some of you could give some exercise tips which i could do whilst in my room or whilst i am out walking/jogging.

I am currently walking 3miles a day and 50 sit-ups just as a general rule and was wondering if there was some muscle workouts etc that i can do in my room when i have finished my walk.

I feel lazy when i have just finished my walk and 50 sit-ups, and then just sit down and do my uni work, i need soemthing extra to do on top of this.

I really appreciate any help which is given, and any advise on how i can change what i am currently to help me more would be awesome.

Do situps everyday then every couple of days build up how many u do as u improve then add weights to ur body by getting a few of them red bricks with the holes in them and jam ur cock in one of the holes. Job done.

On topic: Your doing wrong with sit-ups mate. They dont really do much, so i'd suggest

- Crunches(which are actually easier).
- Use your bed for tricep dips( triceps)
- Pushups( for chest)
- Get some cheap dumbells and just do standing dumbell curls for biceps/ standing tricep raise for triceps.

As for the running, do fartlecks (run, then walk, then jog, then run, then walk, then jog and so on)

And don't eat shite food :) 6 small meals a day with a small amount of calories is more practical.

Invest in a pull up bar if you can and do chins and wide length pull ups. Also as a previous customer said do press ups as well check up on some youtube videos for advice on different press up routines etc

If you can do chin ups + wide length pull ups there's really no need for cheap shitty dumbells as doing both those exercises essentially targets everything upperbody wise.

pointless doing any crunches or sit ups if you are carrying weight on your stomach, better to lose it first before you start toning and defining muscle. the most important thing is getting into a routine of excercise and maintianing a healthy portion controlled diet. cut back on alcohal, contains a load of calories. I gave up all bread and soft drinks for news years, and with some regular exercise I saw an almost immediate difference.

Also get a pull up bar as someone else said,

best way to get the best out of dumbells is doing restricted movement lifts and never doing the same lift day in day out,

try to work opposite muscles and so on.

Cheers for all the replies guys, its much appreciated, not that i doubt any of you care but on this diet i am on and this exercise i am currently doing i have lost 1 stone in 2 weeks :) hopefully i can keep it up.

get on your back, legs up in the air and keep them there then sit up and touch your toes without letting your legs drop, and make sure your legs are straight.

try running 5 miles, 100 situps, 100 press ups, 50 bicep curls, 50 tricep dips, REST AND REPEAT SOLDIER.

Upper Body Press ups, bur urself some weights and do all the upper body excercises such as bicep curls chest press etc.
Core Plank, Sit Ups, Reverse Sit ups.
Legs Squats, dips, Ski sit
Cardio Vascular cv work in ur house is gay but- Star jumps, Skipping (can be done in garden or indoors if roof is high enough.

Everyone is giving a few good tips but you havent stated what your goal is, to loose weight or to gain muscle or both and whats first, for example if your loosing weight you need to not do sit ups, because its not the best technique to loose a belly, id suggest start of walking as a warmup then running with short sprints, implement Squats and more cardio excercises into your routine, once you knotice weight being lost gradually apply weight training of some sort and start building muscle.

Diamond pushups

like normal pushups but make a triangle with your hands (or diamond) like this //// \\\\
thumbs and indexfingers touch eachother, there a bit harder than normal pushups.

handstandpushups (tried it once against the wall, felt liek my head was about to explode)

situps ofc, and another nice one is, lie on your back and make circles with your legs about 10cm in the air 0___....

squats

pullups, i got a openstaircasse I can hang on one side and pull up

buy soem weights, if you don't have weights improvise, ducktabing 2 1,5l bottles together and do shoulder exercises

You can do so many crazy things if you really want to.

Get a t-shirt and hold one side of it in front of you put it under your crotch then use your other arm to hold that side behind you then rub it backwards and forwards. At the same time you must lean backwards and forwards. Most people say you cant train your lower back at home but this is how you do.

I recommend you look into the P60X or P60 programme or Ross Enemaits stuff.

In general you should go-to the gym and follow Starting Strength or MAX-OT training :)
