Just wondering if there were any settings that would increase the clarity of smaller but more important noises (footsteps, what ground its on etc.) for CoD4? Or anything at all that can improve it.

(Aside from a new headset which I am saving up for)

shud be doable considering theres an equalizer in it
maybe Rock would help :]

umm i use low bass and high treble, cuz i cant play on normal. The sound is too deep on my 5.1 headphones :S.And i think u have more clarity with higher treble. After all alot depends on headphones :/

dunno if you've done this already but, set ingame to 5.1 and whack up ingame and windows sound levels. i'm personally saving up for a siberia usb soundcard, apparently it does really good 3d despite not having an x-fi chip as well as a new headset...

one thing i dont understand about x fi chips. I have realtek too, and i hear when a guy farts on the other spawn, what difference does the chip make :S
