Almost certainly won't happen. We would still be affected by the 'PIGS' economies regardless, due to the fact the banks have already bought a large amount of debt and we're in a close proximity to the countries concerned. It would only further knock confidence in the European banking sector, thus exacerbating the problem and making things worse for everyone involved, including the UK.
As much as I want it, it's just a pipe dream.
