Right so im posting here cause when i ring my ISP all i get is, you're net connection is fine there is no problems bla bla bla.
So the past 2 months, my net is completely dogshit, I get around 5 meg out of 25meg, my ping is insane, and my jitter is totally dogshit, My jitter goes up to around 100 at times, I spoke to the isp service and they tell me that the problem is game related if im playing games, i told them im testing my pings and speeds out of game, they are convinced there is no problem on their behave eventho it is and must be, because (MiLLEr) lives up the street from me, and he has the same issues as me, the line or transmitters must be fucked. anybody any ideas on what to do, or what causes jitter?

The issue is clearly theres so send them those tests and explain the situation to them again. If they still ignore you ask to speak to someone else - normally gets the job done.
I have to deal with ISPs on a daily basis in my line of work.
First thing to do is explain to them that you do exacately that (work with ISPs). Then when they start reading their script to you, instantly ask for their manager, as soon as you ask for a manager you have instantly won 50% of the battle. next thing to do is to assertively but calmly say to the manager what is going on. explain to him there are multiple issues in your area and they need to send an engineer to the exchange to investigate further. He will then give you some speil, once he has finish just affirm to him what you want, and explain the numerous issues that this unreliable internet source is causing you. Explain to him that you are paying '£XYZ' amount of money and expected a better service then this, then ask them what they are going to do to compensate you for this lack of decent quality.
Do this, and get back to me. If you need any more help just give me a shout.

Peak times I was getting about 80 ping and about 100 jitter too but it seemed to calm down but still to this day have horrible jitter and ended up getting a secondary internet primarily for gaming :P

Best advice is that if you ring up, make sure they are English.
I once rung up to try and turn interleaving off, the women thought I said "turn my internet off".
Needless to say I quickly corrected her, but not the point.

Is there anything I can ask my ISP to do so that I can get better ping in cod4?? I get about 44-48 ping in UK servers. I want to get into the 30's :(
