No. Sorry, definitely not on purpose. I was at work whilst reading on my iPhone about this and was pretty convinced by reports that it was deliberate and worthy of a red. Having watched it now, you can see him looking at the ball in the air and anticipating it dropping. If it had dropped (without Parker heading it) he would have connected with it. However, Parker did head it so there was nothing to hit with his foot bar Parker's stomach! ... and he apologised straightaway! Nothing will come of it.

i can't say i'm the worlds biggest liverpool fan, but that did look like an accident. he was looking up at the ball when he started to kick and the timing was about right for the ball to fall to his foot. unfortunately because of his previous actions, he will always be judged unfavorably.
