Here are a few great things about CG that you'll be able to make use of:
• Embedded shoutcast feeds
• Unlimited bandwidth for a demo section
• Leagues, Ladders and Tournaments incorporated
• Instant Messaging Buddy system
• Pickup Games and Scrim search functions built into the site
• File Uploads - Upload your config or find other pro configs here
• Forum, join our discussion forums and start posting your views!
• SmartBar at the bottom of the screen (when signed up) for easy access to features
Yeah, seems like this is the new place to be. Looks pretty awesome and is VERY easy to use (just use your brain for the first 10 minutes)
Don't be afraid to use this site coupled with TEK9, both are nice portals for CoD. But we need TEAMS TO SIGNUP because you will find this website + new ladder system WILL REPLACE INVITE / PREINVITE / ACADEMY, like everyone whining that the system is bullshit - here is a new one for you so sign up and you will always have good games going soon.
When you play your first match or PUG in a CyberGamer server, your STEAM ID/GUID will automatically be collected and synced with your CyberGamer Account on the website. The following games are supported: Call of Duty 2, Call of duty 4, Call of Duty 5, Counter-Strike Source, Team Fortress 2, Soldier of Fortune 2 and Left 4 Dead (1&2).
Then whenever theres an IP on the cybergamer website when it checks the server who has a player with the same IP it will add the guid to that IP from that player to his or hers account.
You do realize 'Vita-Nova' sorted all of this out... So frustrating to see the odd person who just simply hates Vita-Nova regardless of what people do.
Yes but you're being very narrow-minded - A load of credit goes to Jeremy over at CyberGamer (naturally, he made this entire website). But the people who spoke to him, coordinated with him, determined certain functions, provided the foundation (including all content) as well as generating everything within the site (content for the future, admins, etc) is all down to people within VN.
To be quite frank Vita-Nova don't care all that much whether people make a fuss just because it's 'Vita-Nova' doing the work. You will more than likely STILL sign up to the website, and start joining teams there, playing games, etc. Which means one of their goals is achieved (promoting CoD4, establishing the foundation for CoD4, etc).
Up to you what you'd like to do / say but ultimately it affects you too.
is it possible to block the recruitment section from my "latest threads" feed on the right? otherwise it'll be permanently filled with 14 yr olds looking for high skilled / academy teams

What the fuck, how would this even work? :D
just query the server, its easy
you can also change the map with php/etc
It's purely done based on names I assume?
Also brothers or sisters would have mixed up GUIDs.
At the moment you can add your server to the server tracker
www.cybergamer.org/addserver.php?game=cod4
Then whenever theres an IP on the cybergamer website when it checks the server who has a player with the same IP it will add the guid to that IP from that player to his or hers account.
Edit: Pretty sure it's done by IP, aka you log into your cg account on the same IP as you play in a cod server it will link your account/guid

Sorted it all hum. Doubt it, they took the benefits in the my eyes.

There are still visitor stats for the US site, but I don't know if it still exists really.
