Currently im with tiscali, and i can say they are shit.
Im from the south west of england (bristol) and wondering what the top internet providers are around the area. Prices and speeds would be handy :)

I live near Bristol, and you're wrong it is a shit hole, walking around fishponds or st pauls at night makes you more than likely a stab victim.

I highly recommend PlusNet, they have gamers in mind, and know their stuff - but aint too expensive.
They also push the limits, they upgraded me to ADSL2+ for free
(I have a referral code for them if you want it - but regardless they have been my favourite isp so far)

*edit* I guess i should be helpful :P I'm on BT never had a problem with it going down or whatever and the download speed seems fine, though the only downside is that since Christmas my ping has increased to 50+ on UK servers :( Usual ping on UK servers at 40-50.

i have a shitty line so i get like 50-100kb/s but he's getting bare w/ a 24mg connection

Speeds are consistent and I've rarely experienced any downtime at all with the service. They're pretty helpful over the phone to if you ever do experience problems, unlike the standard message of 'turn power off and on please sir' from most of the Indian's you get through to.
