Bookings
All bookings should be sent to ownagefool@gmail.com
Allan will go through the process with everyone.
Bookings have until the 30th of april. This will give adequate time for cancellation if not enough interest is shown. If this does occur all money will be refunded, this can also be ensured by Allan as he is acting as 3rd party and will monitor all transactions. I hope people appreciate that i am trying to be open and transparent, and if we do not meet the 8 team quota it will give people plenty of notice that the event can't go ahead.
So teams that want this to happen show interest early to draw in more interest.
Thanks :)

Still waiting to hear back from a few other teams who seem keen, so it’s starting to look promising. With a few other big names showing interest :)
The event will be streamed by kaosTV , one of the leading broadcasters in e-sports for more information;

Anyone wanting to make a fund transfer to me should e-mail me requesting information. I'll accept these payments via direct bank transfer, paypal, or even in person if you're local, but if you choose to use paypal you will need to adjust for fee's accordingly.
got 24 pc's but plan was to use 20 to run two games at once and use the other couple of PC's to stream the even't. the pc's are i5s with GTX 460's
i was getting 250 fps on paradox's cfg on 1080p, it was solid for movement but the dips in fps in smoke where bigger than what i play on at home but that was with 4x anti aliasing so ill try again later on in the week with out it. no issue with strafe or bounces tho :)
With 20 PCs, you should cap it at 8 teams. Mainly due to your time constraints. 11:00 - 23:00.
11:00 - Game 1 (A)
12:00 - Game 2 (A)
13:00 - Game 3 (A)
14:00 - Catchup (A) / Setup (B)
15:00 - Game 1 (B)
16:00 - Game 2 (B)
17:00 - Game 3 (B)
18:00 - Catchup (B) / Setup (PO)
19:00 - SEMI 1 & 2 - Best of 3
20:00 - SEMI 1 & 2 - Best of 3
21:00 - Finals / 3rd Place Match - Best of 3
22:00 - Finals / 3rd Place Match - Best of 3
Not sure how strict the Twitch Gaming guys are on opening/closing times. Ideally you want to let players in before 11:00 to set up in time for starting at 11:00, otherwise you'll be playing catch-up on that schedule. Additionally, if there's any delays, they may have to stay open later than 23:00.
I'm available to help with any scheduling issues you have/want to discuss. You can contact me via PM on these forums.
Good luck with this, you seem to be going about things the right way for a first event. I hope you get the numbers to fill it. Its definitely worth getting in touch with Seanza, his experience at running events will help you avoid common mistakes! :)
Hey, sorry for the inactivity, I have had no time to myself the past few days with uni and sport but rest of the week is a little less hectic so I can put more time into this. It’s good to see the thread starting to pick up some interest without any of my input I’ll be pushing it hard the rest of the week to draw more attention. In regards to the 10 teams I will defiantly drop it to 8 now. Going with everyone’s advice and the practicalities of managing it in one day.
Should make it a 2 day event tbh :D Makes it worth more for me to go overthere
Trouble is that would most likely add a lot to the cost. Maybe something to look at after the first event.
Pretty sure people wouldn't mind throwing in another £10 or £20. Would be much better, I honestly doubt you could fit all them games in just 1 day (from the timetable Seanza posted).
As said above the event will be running with 8 teams as this will provide people with more playing time and a smoother event. So be sure to get your team in early so there isn't any disappointment.
I think 6 teams would be the minimum to make it worthwhile for people to travel too, however I’m confident that we should make the 8 team quota. I have my own team who will play and another 4 teams showing great interest, 2 of which are based relatively close to the event so there should be a very high chance that they will commit. Known players such as yourself would defiantly help boost the event.
bootcamp? if your on about staying over i would suggest the www.euro-hostels.co.uk/book/edinburgh its only £19 for a night and close to the venue. The venue will be open the night before until 11pm, so if u want to get a feel for the computers you could go down then. they charge per hour however it's pretty cheap. it would also be suitable as if u plan on going out after the event it is located in grassmarkets which has loads of pubs and clubs :)

talking to a few teams on xf with a few of them pretty much confirmed they are going. lighters also said he would be looking to put a team in and along with our team we have 5 teams just now looking to go :)
The internet is good at the venue so the stream shouldn’t be a problem, I’ve got one lead for a streaming organisation but again nothing has been finalised, but there will be some way to watch the games during the event
thanks, :) hopefully lighters is able to get a team together, that would draw in some attention. there is still time and I'm STILL waiting to hear back from a few on xf so hopefully something comes from that :)
Interested, need to see when my exams are done.

Fixed that for you. Remember, this kid is doing it himself, I'm only acting as an escrow service.
P.S. If he sticks with the 10 teams, he's going to need to convince me to even participate that far. I'm pretty sure 8 is the max.

Like I said I am very interested in getting a team sorted so will probably pay early to get the interest going!
