Processor 'overload'.

Hey,
So my processor seems to have just randomly started (within the past 5 days) "overloading" its self, I sit here browsing the internet for a while and then it starts to jolt between 75 - 100% and make it impossible to watch even youtube videos or move my web browser.. Hell I'm even lagging when typing.
I feel that it's some form of cache clearing problem or something similar to that..
AMD Athlon(tm) II X4 620 Processor (4 CPUs), ~2.6GHz Running between 50-54 Degrees Celsius when running "idle", as soon as this happens (Like now) It's sat at 67 Degrees Celsius (at least according to Speccy.. which isn't 100% accurate (I don't think).
Solution:
I have to restart my PC every time it does this but this can start anything from 1/2 an hour to 2 hours (Even without playing any games).
Has anyone else had this problem and how have they sorted it?

I had this problem the other day. I simply made sure that the process hogging my CPU was in fact not supposed to be running, and ended the process.
I'm not saying that you have malware, as I didn't either. My problem was a Windows process, that shouldn't have been running at the time.
Replace your SATA cable from your HDD and it should fix itself, or its your HDD I think, but i'm a noob on PC. ono told me to do that and it fixed itself straight away :D
