beware of guys who sit on here waiting for threads asking for advice and then post shit on them mate...
as far as graphics cards go...i'm not the one to ask :D but erm tbh, if you've got that amount of money then you can be getting better than this and this looks alright :S
That would get you a 5850 and it would be mint for you
It will offer you a great price/performance ratio and if you wait until the release of the new Fermi series cards from nvidia you can expect bigger prize drops
Also before you buy it
What PSU do you have and what CPU do you have?
This is the best suggestion from a price/performance and durability point of view
Reason people post retarded comments as advice is because people ask retarded questions. A graphics card on its own won't get you 250. Even if you spend £350, it could possible not even run the game at all, depending on your other specs.
Post them first, then people will be able to offer you more, sensible help ;D
PSU, will probably have to look at the actual physical PSU inside your tower. Should just be able to find out your CPU from the properties of your computer.
If £350 is your total upgrade budget then look at upgrading both your processor & graphics card, sometimes ebay can be a good source for second hand cards and overclockers usually have promotions on processors all the time.
edit: keep an eye out for decent ram kits too, sometimes you can pick up good quality 4gb kits from £40-£60
Will end up just around 290£ and will give you 250 fps easily, More ram for other games, A CPU that will survive for a while and a DX11 graphics card thats quiet and performs about the same as the old champion 4870
PS. Memory can be a subject to change depending on your current memory speeds,
Can easily be checked by using CPU-z and pressing the SPD tab and telling us what it says on Part Number and Max bandwith
within resonable price ;]

just that was one of the ones higher up the "performance" scale on the nvidia site

Will also give you 100£ over to buy beer for or perhaps a better PSU if your current PSU is bad

Tell us wattage and +12v lines Ampere
Should look like this for example
+12v

You may need to update your PSU but I think if you have anything over 500w you should be fine for now.
The Pentium D's are terrible.

GTS250
HD4850
HD4870
HD5770
Pretty much everything else is overkill.
P.S. If you have a shit processor, you'll bottleneck your graphics card and won't reach stable 250

Listen to definia, He explained pretty much exactly what you need to do to be able to get 250 fps
But he went overkill when he suggested you buy a processor that gives you 300 mhz more for 70£
www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CP-192-IN&groupid=701&catid=6&subcat=793
That will be good enough and you will afford buying 2 gb extra ram + a decent graphicscard with the money you save
IE this www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-072-OC&groupid=701&catid=8&subcat=813
And perhaps you should change the graphics card to one of a newer generation

This is my suggestion,
