For specs, do you prefer AMD or Intel?

Intel i5 2400
Nvidia Geforce GTX560 TI 448
Some Mainboard with Z68 Chipset (Can recommend Gigabyte and ASRock or ASUS)
You can basically use your old tower + rom + hd to save money.

You might wana get a different cooler, if your Case is big enough, get a mugen v3

If you want to overclock your cpu after some time, go for the i5 2500k, if you are not going to oc, then the 2400 is so much more lukrative to buy.

€800 is easily enough to get a pc that will hold 250fps.

If you require others to spec it though then I am going to assume that you dont have much experience in building pc's otherwise you would be able to spec one yourself!

I suggest buying some sort of pre-built rig, for your money you could get something like this...

www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FS-176-OE&groupid=43&catid=2040&subcat=

with an ati 6850 or nvidia 560 or similar in it. Find something like that from the sites you use :)

1600mhz ripwjawsx=ultimate waste of money

also if you play BF3 dont buy 560 Ti, for some reason theres so many issues with the card giving bad performance in BF3.

the ripjaws are the same price as vengeance? i wouldnt consider them a waste of money
and due to the low heatsink they even fit under the nh d14

RAMs are just way to make money my 8gb 1600Mhz were like 40€ and then those ripjaws which gives you no noticable performance increase are 88£ so i wouldnt waste my money just to get cool red cases.

who told you that lmfao.... Whoever it was is full of shit.

intel dont 'Officially support' anything higher then 1333, but if you MoBo is capable you can have anything upto 2000mhz RAM.... so please dont give bad advice.

- i5 2500k
-Z68 MoBo (Asus,MSI,Gigabyte)
-8GB 1600Mhz RAM
-560ti
-650w Modular PSU
-1TB HDD
-120GB SSD
-Cheap Mid-Tower case

Job Done. - If really needed send me some websites YOU can buy from OP and i will build one on there for you.

Regards,
Alex

sorry man but what u just posted is far from true or good :p esp coz just the 120gb ssd will cost atleast around 150 euros. except for that you have to change alot windows wise to run it properly. i personally dont think jasper is able to get the correct settings on that one. 1600mhz ram is just not needed. 1333 are the cheapest ones you can get. and about the official support. = im sorry, but just = lol at your comment. hes looking for a cheap computer and the setup that you just mentioned ist about 900-1000 euros.

@solu
He said: "but i really want a new pc, and i have around €800,-" So yeah if its between 750/850 it would be ok aswell I guess? So why not improve a bit on the memory ? And what he said is a bit true, if you overclock it, it depends on your mobo what it supports. It's easier to OC it to 1866 when you have 1600 than having 1333 :p
4 months ago
+0 thumbs
youi really think jasper should have to do anything with overclocking? im sorry but after reading all the comments he should just get a basic pc and not do anything that could avoid the warranty. + motherboards that support 1600 are ofc abit more expensive. in the end the biggest improvement is an SSD but not available in that kind of budget in my eyes.

he said max. 700-800 so 850 could be ok ofc. but having those items that xyz posted, he is far from that (atleast thats what i think)
+0 thumbs
A SSD isn't necessary indeed. But a motherboard which supports 1600 isnt that expensive really. And maybe he's got a friend who can overclock it for him or w/e, maybe future plans :). You could just check my setup @ post below..?

just checked the average prize of most of those parts and you go over 1k easily.

1 x ASUS ENGTX560 Ti DCII/2DI 234,90*

1 x GIGABYTE GA-Z68A-D3H-B3 107,90*
1 x Corsair DIMM 8 GB DDR3-1600 Kit 54,90*

1 x Samsung HD103SJ 1 TB 109,90*
1 x CM Storm Enforcer 89,90*

guess u can go down to 950 max with cheaper parts. no idea how the prices in the uk are tho.

I built my machine as advised by alex and it was superb. In fact I literally have those exact specs. Take out the SSD if you don't need one, but otherwise it's a superb build.

I built my first ever pc under that advice and have had no problems. I don't have it OC-ed atm but why not have the option? And changing from 1333 to 1600 is simple as.

Sandy Bridge supports 2000Mhz+ at regular 3.3Ghz its only 1333 but if you buy 2500k you prolly wanna OC it little bit so 1600mhz is useful in that case.

ye... mb, cpu, hdd and ram is fine for me... case is always a personal thing.

i personally had only bad exp with MSI components but yea. the PSU is abit overpriced aswell if you ask me. if i would ever buy a psu it would be sharkoon for cheap pcs or cougar for my own gaming pc.
